What is Albert Einstein's famous quote involving god?

Einstein said (but in German of course), 'God does not play dice with the universe'. This was a response to the 'Copenhagen School' in relation to Quantum Physics. Werner Heisenberg called this"The Indeterminacy Principle", or sometimes "The Uncertainty Principle". He, along with the majority of quantum physicists - those belonging to the so-called Copenhagen School - concluded that the behaviour of the fundamental constituents of matter is not deterministic but indeterministic. In their view, events at the microphysical level occur "randomly", "by pure chance" - meaning that they aren't determined by any causes whatever. In a letter to Einstein in June 1927, Heisenberg wrote:

I believe that indeterminism, that is the nonvalidity of rigorous causality, is necessary, and not just consistently possible.

And Neils Bohr expressed the same view when he wrote: The renunciation of the ideal of causality in atomic physics . . . has been forced upon us.' Einstein strongly disagreed believing that Heisenberg et al had wrongly confused two different forms of causality. Einstein referred to dice throwing as this exemplifies the difference between the two. There is a 'causal determinism' as to how the dice land. In other words there are physical laws at work which explain the result but it is impossible for the observer to predict the result so there is no 'predictive determinism' possible. He claimed that the behaviour of micro particles was similar. They obeyed causal laws but we simply did not know enought to predict their behaviour. Even now this argument rumbles on and although the "The Uncertainty Principle" is currently well accepted, this may have more to do with many physicists' world view (that of an atheistic 'uncaused' chance universe) than any hard evidence. The use of 'God' was not just a figure of speech by Einstein. He was a theist. He passionately believed in a powerful (singular) God who had created the universe and its laws. He did not believe in a personal God or in an afterlife as a Christian or follower of Judaism would, but he stated many times consistently through his lfe that he did not consider himself either an atheist or a pantheist. Such claims in some recent books (by those atheists who would wish it to be so) are simply wrong.

Where did Albert Einstein spend most of his time?

Albert Einstein spent most of his time in various places throughout his life. However, his most notable time was spent in Germany, where he conducted groundbreaking research at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute in Berlin. Later, he moved to the United States and spent the rest of his career at Princeton University.

What are the pros and cons of Albert Einstein's discoveries?

Pros: Einstein's discoveries revolutionized our understanding of the universe with his theories of general and special relativity, which have had profound impacts on physics and cosmology. They also led to technological advancements like GPS.

Cons: Some of Einstein's ideas challenged traditional scientific beliefs and were initially met with skepticism. His theories are complex and can be difficult to understand, limiting their accessibility to a broader audience.

Which famous Scientist was born in Germany on March 14th 1879?

Albert Einstein was born in Germany on March 14th, 1879. He is well-known for his theory of relativity and his equation E=mc^2, which describes the relationship between mass and energy. Einstein was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921 for his contributions to theoretical physics.

Did Einstein eat his ear?

No, there is no evidence or record to suggest that Albert Einstein ate his own ear or anyone else's ear. Einstein was a famous physicist known for his theory of relativity and contributions to science, not for any bizarre behavior like ear-eating.

How would Albert Einstein like to be remembered?

Albert Einstein would likely want to be remembered as a brilliant physicist who revolutionized the field of theoretical physics with his groundbreaking theories, such as the theory of relativity. He may also want to be remembered as a humanitarian who advocated for peace, social justice, and scientific collaboration.

What observations did Albert Einstein make?

Albert Einstein made groundbreaking observations in the field of theoretical physics, including his theory of relativity which revolutionized our understanding of space, time, and gravity. He also made significant contributions to the field of quantum theory and the photoelectric effect, shedding light on the particle-like nature of light.

What if Albert Einstein had never been born?

The field of theoretical physics may have been delayed in its advancements. It's likely that another scientist would have eventually developed the theories that Einstein is famous for, but the timeline and pace of these discoveries would likely have been different.

Is there a picture of elbert r Robinson?

What did Einstein say about the bee?

Albert Einstein said that if the Honeybee were to die out, Mankind would join it within four years. This is probably true, because Honeybees pollenate more plants than any group if creatures combined. If they were to go, then we would not be able to grow new crops, and most life on earth would slowly end.
