Allosaurus was the top predator of the Jurassic period. There were three known species, A. Atrox, A. Fragilis, and A. Amplexus, although some scientists believe there may have been as many as seven. The largest was Allosaurus Amplexus, up to 40 feet in length.
Allosaurus laid hard shelled eggs like other dinosaurs and like birds do today. They probably laid their eggs in nests. Evidence suggests that they didn't raise their young, however. This is because the proportions of juvenile Allosaurus legs are very different from those of full grown Allosaurus, and the different leg proportions suggest that juvenile used different hunting methods from adults. If this is the case, they probably had to fend for themselves, otherwise the adults would be hunting for them.
Allosaurus had a maximum lifespan of about thirty years or a little less. Scientists determined this by looking at the growth rings in the bones of fossilized Allosaurus. That lifespan is actually longer than the lifespan of wild dogs and big cats, which only live around 15 to maybe 20 years, maximum.
bannana lol
Allosaurus was dominant over Ceratosaurus, but Ceratosaurus would not be usual prey for Allosaurus. Carnivore almost never prey on other carnivores. It is possible though on rare occasions Allosaurus may hunt and kill a Ceratosaurus for food.
Allosaurus was the largest predator in its habitat, so the only formidable enemy of an adult Allosaurus would be another adult Allosaurus. For young Allosaurus, however, threats included Torvosaurus and Ceratosaurus, and even larger Allosaurus.
Allosaurus preyed on most herbivore dinosaurus. It would have hunted small dinosaurs like Dryosaurus and occasionally hunt larger ones like Stegosaurus. Herbivores like Diplodocus and Brachiosaurus would have been to large for Allosaurus to take down, but juveniles would have been smaller and much easier to hunt.
Allosaurus reproduced by laying hard shelled eggs, most likely in a nest of vegetation to incubate the eggs. It is unknown whether there was any parental care involved, and if there was, how much is also unknown.
Allosaurus reproduced by laying hard shelled eggs in a nest, probably composed of a pile of vegetation to incubate the eggs. It is unknown how much, or whether any, parental care was involved.
The first Allosaurus was discovered in Colorado in 1869 during the Bone Wars, by Ferinand Hayden. Since then paleontologists have identified seven different species of the Allosaurus. In Utah, over 60 sets of remains have been found in one site, ranging from the eggs of an Allosaurus to full grown adults. The Allosaurus is also the state fossil of Utah. Fossils and remains of the Allosaurus have been found in Asia, Africa, Australia, and all over North America.
They are large-meat eating dinosaurs The name allosaurus means 'different lizard'. There were several allosaurus species. Allosaurus Atrox, Allosaurus Fragilis were the most common, averaging 28 to 32 feet in length, and weighing one to two tons.Rrecently, two new allosaur species have come to light, both as big as T Rex.
Apatosaurus walked on four sturdy legs, had a bulky body, and a very long, narrow tail. It also had a long neck and a small head. They were herbivores. They were also huge at 75 feet in length and weighing in at 18 to 25 tons.
Allosaurus fossils have been found in the Morrison Formation of the western USA, the Tendaguru Formation of Tanzania, and the Lourinhã Formation of Portugal and date to between 155 and 150 million years ago. Thus, they lived in North America, Africa, and at least part of Europe. The two former areas, if not all three, were semi-arid, subtropical to tropical plains with distinct wet and dry seasons. Along rivers, there would have been forests of conifers, cycads, ginkgoes, ferns, and horsetails. Farther from the rivers there were open expanses, but rather than being covered in grass, which didn't exist yet, they were covered in ferns, and there were scattered trees. Allosaurus probably preferred the more open areas for hunting.
Allosaurus probably hunted large, herbivorous dinosaurs such as Camptosaurus, Dryosaurus, and Stegosaurus. If they hunted in packs on occasion, they may have even hunted huge sauropods such as Diplodocus, Brachiosaurus, Camarasaurus, and Apatosaurus.
allosaurus. due to its size rugops would have a hard time battling its large enemy unless rugops was in a group. rugops had small slicing teeth used to eat meat and grip on prey, not designed for chomping prey and allosaurus had a weak bite force but with sharper teeth so allosaurus would win. allosaurus lived during the jurassic and rugops lived during the late cretaceous
Young people today don't seem to get married that early and have children later in life as well. They usually want careers, do some traveling and have some fun first. There is really no time you can set, but personally, I wouldn't wait more than 2 years. As the old saying goes .... "If you don't want to buy the cow, you ain't getting the milk for free!" I've always gone for commitment. Good luck Marcy
Well of course we don't have real allosaurus so we don't know. It likely fit there environment. Which could make it almost any color.
