Bullets alone have no velocity. The .223 CARTRIDGE, when fired from an M16 rifle, will drive its bullet at about 3,200 fps. However, velocity depends on the makeup of the cartridge (powder charge, bullet weight) , and which firearm it is fired from.
If you mean CARTRIDGES for a .303 Enfield rifle, also known as .303 British, depends on which cartridge, and where you are. In Virginia in the US, civilian hunting ammo may retail for $35/ 20 rounds. Careful shopping for surplus ammo may be less.

Check out the Mythbusters website for verrification, but it's been done. From a physics standpoint it's not suprising, since a 7.62 x 51 mm NATO round travels at over 3000 ft/sec (remember energy is mass times velocity squared). That's a lot of whallop. One reported example is that belonging to US Marine sniper Carlos Hathcock who has 93 confirmed kills.

It's possible, but the likelihood of error is pretty high when using .22 shotshells for that purpose. Better just to use regular .22 LR rounds, or regular shotshells.

Depends on the ammo. Hornady v-max .22 mag travels down the barrel at 2200/fps. So give or take that depending on brand and load.

Bullets are lead, sometimes covered in copper, but getting lead poisoning from a bullet is highly unlikely. Lead quickly oxidizes covering the bullet in a film of lead oxide. Also, the body encapsulates an embedded bullet in scar tissue. Many people have lived for decades with old gunshot injuries.
A much more likely complication is infection.
Although many people believe it is lead poisoning, it is actually an infection, caused by bacteria carried into the wound by the bullet.
