Can 7.62X51 ammo be fired in a firearm chambered for 308 Remington?
Possibly. You would need to measure the headspace before you attempt this, though. 7.62x51 and .308 Winchester are dimensionally similar, but they are not identical.

Why does a bullet have less momentum fired from a short barrel vs long barrel?
At the instant the gun fires, the bullet is at rest- speed zero. As the expanding gasses from the burning gunpowder reach the bullet, they begin pushing the bullet up the barrel. It's speed is increasing- and the longer the push, the higher the speed. There IS a point of diminishing returns- where a barrel LONGER than the perfect length begins to slow the bullet- you have used all the expanding gasses, and now friction is slowing the bullet. If you had a barrel 20 ft long, the bullet would not make it all the way up the barrel, it would stop.
For barrels on any realistically-usable weapon, a longer barrel will provide more momentum to the bullet than a shorter one. In addition, longer rifled barrels will also impart more spin, which will increase accuracy.

Not necessarily. The weight of the bullet (125 grain vs 115 grain) is just one factor that determines the speed at which it travels. Other factors like powder charge, barrel length, and bullet design also play a role in determining bullet velocity.

No. You cannot fire anything other than a .380 ACP cartridge out of a .380 handgun.

What is the difference between a .380 cal bullet and a .38?
There are several different types of .38 cartridges. The main thing which separates the .380 from the rest of them is that the .380 is intended for use in an unlocked breech pistol, whereas most of the other rounds are too powerful to be used in such a pistol. The .380 has a bullet diameter if .355 inches, and the metric designation for the cartridge is 9x17mm.
The most common .38 cartridge would be the .38 Special, which has a bullet diameter of .357 inches, has a longer case, and the most obvious difference is that it uses a rim, as opposed to the rimless design of the .380 ACP.
You may also have the .38 Super in mind, which is a cartridge intended for autoloading pistols, and still remains popular with competition firers. It has a bullet diameter of .356 inches, has a 22.83mm case length (vs. the 17.3mm case length of the .380), and much higher chamber pressures than the .380 ACP, making it unsuitable for the simple, unlocked breech pistols of the type commonly chambered for cartridges such as the .380 ACP.

No. They're dimensionally similar, but vary in several aspects, and may not always be interchangeable. Generally speaking, most 5.56 chambers will do just fine firing .223 ammo, but it's not recommended to use 5.56 ammo in a .223 chamber. The one exception to this would be the 80 grain .223 Wylde - a round which specifically requires a .223 Wylde chamber.

Can a 9mm bullet work in a .380 gun?
9mm and 380 both use bullets with a diameter of .355. However, the cases are a different size. .380 is also known as .380 auto, 9mm Kurtz, 9mm Corto, 9mm short or 9x17. 9mm typically refers to 9x19mm also known as 9mm Parabellum or 9mm Luger.
You cannot fire a 9mm Parabellum cartridge from a .380 handgun. The 9mm cartridge will not fit into the chamber of the gun. However, if you were to pull the bullet out of the .380 case and put it into a 9mm Para case the resulting cartridge will work just fine.
We would urge you to have a gunsmith check your shotgun, and advise you on the correct ammunition. .410 shot shells have been made in a variety of lengths- 2, 2.5, and 3 inch are the most common sizes- but simply because a shell will chamber does NOT mean that it is safe to fire.

Assuming you mean the standard 230 grain .45 auto cartridge- bullet travels 830 feet in one second. So it would be 21/830ths of one second- or about 0.025 seconds. Faster than you can blink- and THAT is a relatively slow bullet.

Depends on the velocity, shape of the bullet, and where the rifle is zeroed. For the standard .223 zeroed at 200 yards, bullet will be 1.4 inches HIGH at 100 yds, on target at 200, 7.2 inches LOW at 300, 22.3 inches LOW at 400, etc.
Can a 32 bullet shoot out of a 32 magnum?
The .32 Magnum revolver can fire the .32 S&W revolver cartridge. It cannot safely fire other .32 cartridges, such as .32 ACP (auto) 32-20, 32 Winchester, etc etc.

In MOST cases, the Model 10 is a .38 Special caliber. The barrel should be marked to show this. .38 Special (sometimes written as its original name- .38 S&W Special) is a different cartridge than .38 S&W. Early Model 10s may not but suited for frequent use of +P rated ammunition- it is loaded to higher power levels. The traditional cartridge was a round nosed 158 grain lead bullet- but 125 grain jacketed hollowpoint is frequently used for defense, and 144 grain wadcutter is used for target shooting.
