They read OBDII powertrain codes for you, then generate a printout of possible causes that is generic to all cars (very unhelpful), then suggest selling you some of the parts listed on said printout, then twist in the wind for an explanation when you come back after their junk parts that were likely not appropriate for your particular repair didn't keep your MIL off. Substitute 'Autozone' for the name of any parts store that offers free code reading service. Please don't confuse diagnosis with code reading. At best what they offer is guided trial and error in an attempt to sell you parts, most of which are substandard to OEM.

Well, it really depends on sales of the store. Being a store manger, I have to set a bracket of what is acceptable pay between myself and a psm. I will say, my asm makes 12-14 per hour, but it can differ.

Ive been working with Autozone for a while and they pay is really not that great. Depending on the region Customer Service Reps make any where from 7.30 to 9.75hr. But anymore money than that will put you into Management and you can start anywhere from 10.00 to 12.00hr. AutoZone is a good place to work though its a fast pace environment and great to work part time for.

yes, its called r134a and it is available almost anywhere including walmart most likely. if your car is really old and has r12 in it you'll need to have it converted or you could do it yourself.

Old enough to vote, but not so old so-as to know one darn thing about how an automobile works; remember, you are there to sell parts returned by prior customers that they took off of their car and replaced then returned back to the store, and were put back on the shelf as inventory, because other derps like you didn't bother to check the box (and even if they did, they probably couldn't tell the part was the old broken part anyhow) - not fix a customer's car problems. Get back to work, wage slave.
