How long does it take to eat a bamboo?
for a panda, about twelve hours. for us, well, our teeth arent really durable enough for bamboo, so i dont really know what your asking.
What is the protective structure of bamboo?
Bamboo is a woody member of the grass family. It, like all other plants, contains cellulose, a strong carbohydrate (starch) that acts as a skeleton for plant cells. In some plants (such as bamboo and trees), cellulose is stronger and thicker creating a "woody" texture. Bamboo, like other green plants, also produces a waxy coating called a "cuticle" that helps it regulate water loss.
Does human use of Bamboo hurt the survival of Bamboos?
Human interaction strongly effects bamboo. For example when people harvest bamboo out of the ground the soil become washed out and the nutrients are slowly washed away due to turrential rain fall. Plus to much deforestation and clear-cutting can stunt total bamboo populations, which in turn will lead to less oxygen generation and less carbon consumption. Humans do hurt the survival of bamboo which in the log run hurts humans themselves.
Hope this helped you :)
If bamboo is present where guppies are, the fish could easily get bits of algae, rotifers etc from amongst the bamboo shoots. They are unlikely to actually eat the bamboo.
Bamboo wasn't invented it grows naturally and originated in Asia.
Does bamboo need a lot of water?
Yes bamboo needs loads of water bamboo is a tall plant and lives in swamps so water its daily.
It's not really a bamboo hut but it's called in the Philippines Nipa Hut. Nipa hut is the indigenous house used in the Philippines
The native house is constructed out of bamboo tied together, with a thatched roof using nipa/anahaw leaves.
Does lucky bamboo grow out side?
My lucky bamboo grows quite well outside during most of the year; but I've yet to experiment to see if they'll survive the winter. I keep mine shaded from the high sun, and allow them to receive direct sunlight only in the early morning and/or late evening hours. So far, I haven't planted any in the ground outdoors; but if you wish to try it, I'd suggest a well-shaded locale; and make sure they get plenty of water.
The bamboo shoots are fresh new canes that "shoot up" out of the ground. They are considered edible, nutritous and tasty.
Where did bamboo originate from?
Difficult to say as it is a natural plant not a man made hybrid.

What are some adaptations of bengal bamboos?
The Bengal bamboo grows in the Southeast Asian Rainforest as an undergrowth; this means that when young it may not get a lot of sunlight or water. It grows fast and has short roots in order to get at the sunlight faster in life and absorb water when it first falls. The Bengal bamboo needs lot so water in order to survive meaning it needs multiple vascular bundles that are smaller in size order to absorb excess water. The smaller vascular bundles increase the air pressure in the vascular cavities so that more water can be drawn up to higher points, this means it can fit many of them around its stem. The plant grows over many years so it is considered a dicot plant and grows to about 40-80 feet tall; this means its vascular bundles are arranged in a circular pattern near the outside of the bamboo and it has more sclerenchyma cells which have very thick cell walls and help provide strength and support. When it is full grown it is approximately 3 inches in diameter and the leaves will fall off. The Bengal bamboo is a grass, not a shrub or tree and flowers once in its lifetime. After it has flowered it dies.
How did the grandmother bend the bamboo into circles.?
There are three ways to bend bamboo. One method is to soak the bamboo rods in lukewarm water for a period of time, usually twenty-four hours. After it has been soaking take it out and test it by gently bending. If you hear a crackling noise the bamboo needs to soak longer. If there is no crackling sound take the bamboo and place it on your shape board. Place a nail on each side of the bamboo about one inch apart following your desired design. Let it sit on the design board for about three days until it totally dries. Once removed from board it will retain its shape. The second way to bend bamboo into circles is use a knife and cut a V shaped notch in the bamboo at the joint or node of the bamboo. The more narrow the cut the curve will be slight, the wider the cut the more dramatic the bend. With this method you can cut as deep as two-thirds into the diameter of the pole. After doing this gently bend bamboo into desired shape and secure with tape or string. The third way to bend bamboo into a circle it to use heat. Because each piece of bamboo has internal nodes you must first knock them out by using a rod or bar to break them out. On the outside of the bamboo nodes a few holes will need to be drilled to allow vapor to escape from the pole when the heating process begins. A torch is used with a flame that is as hot as the boiling point. The flame needs to move up and down the bamboo. As the rod warms a coffee color will appear and stains the rod. The pectin and lignin at this point becomes soft allowing the bamboo to bend more easily. Use a wet rag to check the pliability of the rod and to wipe any extra moisture off. If it will bend plug on end of the bamboo and then fill rod with sand. This is done so that the rod will bend with out buckling the bamboo. The sand is used to stabilize the rod. Dig a hole about eight inches deep and place one end of the bamboo in the hole. Begin placing the flame to the rode and concentrate on the area that you want bent. Don't forget to wipe the pole with a wet rag occasionally. This will keep the bamboo from drying and becoming brittle. Repeat this process until desired shape is reached. Take time doing this so that the stress it is under will not cause splitting.
