Thus, the president attended a dinner, and earlier in the day, he was seen around the White House acting as if there was nothing out of the ordinary going on. When the time was right, the details of the mission were shared with the American public, but until he knew that the goals of the mission had been achieved and the Seal Team was safe, he did not do anything to tip off the media or call anything about the mission into question.
