How do bats hover in one spot?
They don't. Flying and hovering are two different actions, and the speed at which bats are able to flap their wings does not allow for them to stay in one spot for long. The angle of wings also plays a role--since a bat's wings are flat against the air they can not stay still.
Few birds are able to hover as well. The humming bird, for example, have an angle to their wings and push the wind around them quickly enough to stay in a single place.
I think ghost bats could probably haunt other bats. But that wouldn't really affect the human population in any way. If you saw a ghost bat, you would probably just think it was a normal bat. It maybe just had some unfinished bat business to take care of before it's soul could rest in peace.
Bats live in the understory layer of the rainforest. The understory is below the canopy and it's much easier for bats to fly in this layer.
Are bats warm blooded or cold blooded?
Bats are the only mammals that can fly. All mammals are warm-blooded.
Other answer: Bats are mammals, and most mammals are warm-blooded. But there are some conditions. Bats and Moles, etc. are all cold-blooded because they have trouble cooling down and warming-up.
Bat droppings (faeces) is called guano. They are irregularly shaped and usually contain insect parts
Who invented the aluminal bat?
William Shroyer was the first to ever patent the aluminum bat in 1924. He came up with the idea due to wooden bats that were splintered while being used.
Vampire bats, also known as Desmodus rotonus, are bats that feed on blood and fruits. They hate the sunlight, insects, and fish.
Is it true that bats but not fruit bats are responsible for cross pollination of wheat?

What city has the largest bat colony in the us?
Austin, Texas has the largest warm weather colony (~1.5 million).
Houston, Texas has the largest year-round, non-migrating colony.
Edit: An area near San Antonio hosts a colony of 40 million, the largest in the world. And I don't see how Austin would have the largest warm weather colony if San Antonio isn't any cooler. Either way, Texas is the best place on Earth. In that same area there are other bat colonies and at night they all come out together to feast on moths. Their total population is around 100 million. Crazy, right?
Bats have highly developed hearing organs called echolocation. They emit sounds in high frequencies and listen for echoes bouncing back from objects, allowing them to navigate and hunt in the dark. This process is known as biosonar and is crucial for a bat's survival.
Different species of bats may have slightly different sleeping habits. In general bats sleep from 15 to 20 hours a day.
Bats natural enemies are, of course, those animals who are their predators. Due to their ability to fly and other advantages they can be safe to a certain extent, however, there are also many dangers for them: Big birds are hawks and owls are classic examples of bat predators, but even little birds can be a treat if they have the opportunity to corner them and attack them with their beaks. There are also snakes, weasels and raccoons, which are the most common predators for little sized bats.
What is the niche of the vampire bat?
Like any other bat, the vampire bat's job is to control insect populations and live in caves
Baby bats are called pups. Pups can weigh as much as 25% of the mother's weight at birth, and they usually only give birth to one pup.
Bats stay warm because they are mammals with fur on their bodies. Bats also hang near each other in caves to stay warm while they are sleeping.
Bat wings are not merely skin and bone. They are much more complex than they first appear at a quick glance.
First and foremost they do consist of bone which is strong somewhat willowy, giving them both the ability to hang on to object such as trees and their mother as well a be air born. Bat wings range in size but most bat species have what most commoners might call a thumb or a single sharp hook attached to their wings along the arm that allow further agility. The arm extends out into a long forearm then slightly knobby looking elbow, before branching out into the full length of the wing span.
The strong rubbery material also known at the bat membrane is called patagium. This material is flexible but durable and is what allows bats to glide easily through the air.

Bats wear Echotrakies instead of locations as a means of hunting and communicating. This means they make ultrasonic sounds mostly too high for us to hear. When hunting they listen as these sounds bounce off their surroundings and the returning sound gives them a mental picture of what lies around them.
