Columbia recording is just Bessie and piano. it is a standard 12-bar blues or very close. the recording is classic, various blues performers play this piece with guitar or slide guitar sometimes with a call response style and it winds up sounding like every other blues song. Bessie's recording is something different. oringinal listners were probably patrons of 1920's speak-easys.
