In reply to the answer above two things are wrong with what you said ..

A.) If you studied English in school or know ANY English at all then you would know that your sentence should actually read "Just scream in a distorted voice" or "Just scream kinda distorted" not as you put it above.

And ..

B.) It is not just 'screaming' in general there is a lot of hard work involved in it. I scream (influences include Black Veil Brides, Asking Alexandria, Atreyu, Slipknot, Sonic Syndicate, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and many more) and I have been doing it for around two years nearly. Advice I would give is first and foremost do NOT strain your voice. Know your limits! Also have plenty of water with you as this will help. For the majority of screaming use your diaphragm and for the more 'Pterodactyl' scream, despite what advice may be out there, some use of your throat is needed. Just push at the bottom of your neck right before you get to your chest, this is where the scream needs to come from. BUT as said before, know your limits! If your throat is hurting then rest. Try not to have phlegm as this will ruin the scream. Try to get into the pattern of giving your voice a rest every hour/hour and half. Just take a 20-30 minute break in between and during this time have a hot drink as it will soothe your throat then go back onto the water. Oh the water should be as cold as possible. If you keep deep breathing and controlling your breathing during screaming then this will be better as you will get out of breath. One last tip if you smoke then cut down or don't have one at least an hour before you want to start screaming.
