No, if you are a 30D, chances are you are tiny - a 0 or a 2, an extrasmall XS. A D cup on a 30 isn't very big (it is equivalent to the cup size on a 32C, 34B, 36A, etc), but sometimes you may have problems with the chest area for very fitted clothing as clothes that small tend to be supertight on the chest area. Good luck.

There is no ideal bra size, it's all up to your heredity. Whatever size your mother and/or grandmother are, you are likely to get that big.
Ideally, a bra should provide excellent support, prevent sagging, provide shape for the breast tissue, provide comfort, relieve back and neck strain, and make us look and feel thinner and younger.
Unfortunately most bras cause more problems than they solve. Many of the bras on the market today do more harm to the breast tissue than going without a bra would.
A bra that provides 90% of the support from the band and from underneath the breast without cutting off circulation to the lymph nodes would be a bra that was fulfilling it's purpose.
The number is the measure (in inches) around your body (under the breasts). And the letter is the number of inches your breasts are from your chest. For example 1ins - A, 2ins - B, 3ins - C.
Use a tape measure.
1: Measure around your ribcage, just under your breasts. This is your band size. If the measurement is odd, add or subtract an inch depending on how "squishy" you are (if you're bony or muscular, add an inch; if you're more fleshy, subtract an inch). This is your band size.
NEVER ADD INCHES TO YOUR BAND MEASUREMENT. This was done before bras had elastic and could stretch.
2: Next, measure around the fullest part of your bust.
3: Subtract the band size from the bust measurement. This difference determines cup size. (These are all US cup sizes.)
1/2"=AA
1"=A
2"=B
3"=C
4"=D
5"=DD/E
6"=DDD/F
7"=G
8"=H and so on
Hints:
The only time you use half an inch is for AA cups, everything else is rounded to the next inch.
Measure the ribcage after exhaling, best measurements are after one breathes out.
Due to differences in manufacturers... one can be a 32C in one bra, and a 34B in another. Bra sizing is not standardized and your measurements are only supposed to be a starting point when trying on bras.
The smallest available band measurement is a 28, so, if you have a band measurement less than 28, you should try contacting bra companies so they will see there is a market in bands less than 28.
bras are measured in letter cups such as: A-cup and B-cup.the smalest one is the A-cup and the biggest one is the I-cup.many experts say that it is impossible for someone to have an I-cup so not many companies make I-cups. ha no! smallest is AAA, biggest is D. i cups dont egsist! and cups can be padded, wired or just flat.

To begin with, if you are just beginning to develop, you should wear a training bra. These are usually pretty thin fabric, often without any hooks in the back. They will provide some support. As you progress, go into a basic bra. These will often hook in the back. (AA- and A-Cup) As you chest gets larger, you should begin to wear bras with good supports in the straps or with an underwire. (B-Cup +) For all bras, make sure you are wearing the correct size! Many women do not wear the correct size for theie chest. Also, make sure that it is comfortable and that the material does not irritate your skin or poke into you uncomfortably. Also the larger the chest, the more important proper support it. Otherwise, you can have back, shoulder, and chest pains. Note - Sports bras will go by a different scale.
Your bra size is made up of a number, the back size, and a letter, the cup size.
The size 28E means the woman has a small back size, and a large cup in relation to her frame. However her breasts will not be large next to a woman with say 34D bra size.
Contrary to popular belief this is no where near impossible to find, many specialist bra and lingerie companies stock this size.
