Buzz Aldrin

The official NASA story is that there was a checklist problem that kept the rendezvous radar on during descent, but in the movie "In the Shadow of the Moon" Buzz clearly states that since he was "Dr. Rendezvous", he kept it on in case of an abort.

As of my last update, Buzz Aldrin is advocating for future human missions to Mars and promoting space exploration through his foundation, the ShareSpace Foundation. He also travels around the world giving speeches and participating in events to inspire the next generation of space explorers.
