Bahti is One of largest group of Jatts in punjab.it is mixed group of jatt in which both types of jatts are found Hindu or Punjabi Both.but this caste has mani issues among people ,people are living in many defences.most occupation of this group is agriculture.in ancient time,people acquire 62 acres and that's they called bati,nad became Bahti with passage of time. Before that thay were bahniwal and were jimidar people but in 1800s,during sikh times ,,many bahti's become sikh and so,they become bahniwal jatt.but this community was not completly under siikhism. most part of it ,is also in hindu because many people left from this. today, people are liviny in many defences but real is that bahti are bahniawal jatt. and they are diffrent from other caste people like rajput,ghirth,Chang. these castes mostly have many defences.but is higher than saini's, rajputs.but,today ,this caste has not any minister .due to it,it is going backward. it is also found thay people are living by hiding their caste. but we need awareness as soon as possible we can do.
