How is Confirmation linked to the life of Jesus?
My friend, confirmation is linked indirectly with Christ's life, for it is a sacrament admitting a baptized person to full participation into some religious organization.
Though Christ did organize many churches, namely the seven churches at Rome, it was by the laying on of hands, after baptism, for the gift of the Holy Ghost that one becomes a disciple of Christ and a member of His church.
.
Catholic AnswerConfirmation is the way in which Our Blessed Lord gives you an special outpouring of the Holy Spirit in order to live as a mature Christian.Who is involved at your confirmation?
Seventh-day Adventists do not believe in infant baptism, so there is no ritual of confirmation - which is only necessary when the person who has reached years of understanding confirms the choice made by his parents when he was christened as an infant.
Adventists do hold a ceremony of dedicating infants, but this is not a baptism. A person can only be baptised when he reaches the years of understanding. Children as young as 8 have been baptised, but the preferred age is 12 or older.
Can a confirmation candidate have a non-Catholic sponsor and a Catholic sponsor?
A sponsor is not required at Confirmation, although many bishops allow them, or even require them. Only one sponsor is customary where it is required, if you would like more than one, you would have to have your pastor check with the Bishop.
In Roman Catholicism, Confirmation is one of the seven sacraments instituted by Jesus Christ for the conferral of sanctifying grace and the strengthening of the union between the person being confirmed and Jesus Christ. In general, confirmation is administered by a priest to a person who has reached the age of discretion (generally taken to be about 7) and the person must already have been baptized.
What gifts do you receive in the sacrament of confirmation the sacrament of confirmation?
.
Catholic AnswerKeep in mind that the Holy Spirit is God, as such He is completely Spirit, and the only signs we normally have of God's presence are the two:1) The very fact that we are physically here. If God were not continuing to hold us in existence, we wouldn't be here to worry about whether He existed or not.
.
2) The main "sign" that the Church gives us to indicate the Spirit's presence is the Sacred Chrism, which is consecrated by the Bishop right before Easter each year.
from
The Catechism of the Catholic Church, second edition, English translation 1994
The sign of Confirmation is the anointing with Sacred Chrism (see sections 1293-1301, 1320 of the Catechism). Symbols would include the dove and fire, both of which symbolize the Holy Spirit.
.
1293 In treating the rite of Confirmation, it is fitting to consider the sign of anointing and what it signifies and imprints: a spiritual seal.
.
Anointing, in Biblical and other ancient symbolism, is rich in meaning: oil is a sign of abundance and joy; (Cf. Deut11:14; Pss 23:5; 104:15) It cleanses (anointing before and after a bath) and limbers (the anointing of athletes and wrestlers); oil is a sign of healing, since it is soothing to bruises and wounds; (Cf. Isa. 1:6; Lk 10:34) and it makes radiant with beauty, health, and strength.
.
1294 Anointing with oil has al these meanings in the sacramental life. The pre-baptismal anointing with the oil of catechumens signifies cleansing and strengthening; the anointing of the sick expresses healing and comfort. The post-baptismal anointing with Sacred Chrism in Confirmation and Ordination is the sign of consecration. By Confirmation Christians, that is, those who are anointed, share more completely in the mission of Jesus Christ and the fullness of the Holy Spirit with which he is filled, so that their lives may give off "the aroma of Christ." (2 Cor 2:15)
Can a child have two sponsors for Catholic Confirmation?
Conceivably, yes. Traditionally, probably not. You'd need to discuss this matter with your parish priest (and possibly the Bishop). My guess is they will say no b/c if your child can have 2 Confirmation sponsors then every other kid can too. That would be tantamount to changing the format/process of the Sacrament of Confirmation. It would also create an unnecessary problem in that many kids won't have 2 sponsors while your kid will. And, all the other kids will feel like they need to find 2 sponsors so they won't feel different than their peers. Besides, only one sponsor is necessary. If two are permitted, then why not 3? The focus of the Sacrament is the Sacrament itself and each child's receipt of The Holy Spirit in a profound way, and the child's confirmation into the Catholic faith.
How much money is appropriate for confirmation gift?
Instead of gifting someone with money it would be nice if you can give any religious gifts like a Bible, Rosary, statue of Jesus Christ or Virgin Mary or some religious books which helps increase faith.
If you really want to go with money, depending on your relationship with the person and where you live. This should be per person not per family Family friends :10-30 Cousins : 20-40 Aunts uncles: 50-100 God parents/ Grandparents 100+ Sponcer: A watch or necklace and possably some money equaling to about 300-400 You can add more or less depending on how close you are to this person and your financial situation.
Confirmation doesn't "feel" like anything, particularly, if you don't put much into it. Confirmation is Our Blessed Lord completing your baptism and its graces. But all of those are put into you as seeds, if you do not use them and nurture them, they die. As everything that happens in Confirmation is spiritual it cannot be felt with our physical body. That is not to say that you might not get spiritual feelings given you by God, especially if you are very fervent and in a state of grace when you receive the Sacrament, but that is very individual and no one else has the same feelings.

Does a Catholic priest have the power to confer confirmation?
Yes, at the Easter Vigil, the priests are delegated by the bishop to perform Confirmation for new members of the Church. General confirmations are done by the bishop.
Roman Catholic AnswerIn the Latin Rite, although the ordinary minister of confirmation is the Bishop, priests have the "power" to confirm, but not faculties (i.e. permission from the Bishop) in the regular course of events. Priests may always confirm in danger of death, as the Church doesn't want anyone departing this world without having been perfect by the Holy Spirit with the gift of Christ's fullness. At other times (including the Easter Vigil) permission is extended by the Bishop to confirm adult converts when they are coming into the Church with Sacred Chrism consecrated by the Bishop. - from the Catechism of the Catholic Church # 1312-1314Can your daughter use the name Ariana for confirmation?

What do you mean by baptismal vows?
Catholic wedding vows are manifested by three examination questions establishing freedom and intention of both parties, followed by recitation (or if there is a good a pastoral reason, expressed assent to) the essential formula by each party: "I, N., take you, N., as my (wife/husband). I will be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life." While conferences of bishops may propose alternate formulas (and inded, in the US, there is an alternate formula based on the pre-conciliar form) for approval by proper authority in Rome, this formula is essential for the canonical form required for a Catholic marriage. Anything else, (in particular vows composed by the parties,) is more than likely an invalid marriage in the eyes of the Church. The priest, as one who witnesses the vows, ratifies the expression of consent, proclaiming that "...what God has joined, man must not divide." The ceremonies that follow (the ring and any other optional ceremonies in the Rite of Marriage) are of catechetical and explanatory value, but are not necessary for the validity of the marriage.

What colour do priests wear for confirmation?
It depends on what you mean.
During a Mass or similar ceremony where they are presiding, they will wear vestments in appropriate colour for the occasion (Green for Ordinary Time; Violet for Lent, Advent, Reconciliation and in some parts of the world funerals (Black in others); White or Gold for most feasts (and I think solemnities); Rose for the 3rd week of advent (Gaudete), and one week in lent (Laetere); Blue is used in some parts of the world (although it is NOT an approved liturgical colour, and is legally not permitted) for Feast days of Our Lady; Red for Feasts associated with the Holy Spirit (and in some parts of the world, Palm Sunday and Good Friday). Along with the Chasuble, a bishop will usually wear a matching Mitre (pointy hat), and dalmatic and traditionally used to wear stockings, shoes and gloves that also matched the colour.
During a Ceremony where the bishop is present, but not presiding they wear a Cassock that is generally black or white with Cerise (referred to by some people as violet, pink or purple) buttons, and a sash. They also wear a Cerise Zuchetto, and may have a surplice-like garment (sometimes called a simar) also with cerise trimmings. Cardinals woudl wear the equivalent in red, and the Pope in white.
Outside of ceremonies, a bishop may wear a cassock with cerise buttons, trimings and sash along with his Zuchetto or (in some parts of the world) may be more casual wear black shirt and pants (like many priests would too).
Contrary to popular belief, however, the bishops' colour is actually green. This can be noticed in heraldic symbols like coats of arms or logos, as well as the band holding the cross hanging around a bishop's neck would be gold and green (gold and red for cardinals). As far as I know, oputside of liturgic occasions, bishops used to wear a distinctive green hat, however I can find no evidence to be certain.

First, what is Confirmation (also called "Chrismation")? What does Confirmation do? Confirmation: indelibly seals us to the Holy Ghost, hence its name, "Sacrament of the Seal."
