It wasn't cut from the DVD, it was cut from the whole episode. It was a one time scene that appeared only on the original airing. Apparently it was never meant for the DVD or rebroadcast.

The previous answer that was here regarding it being cut due to the swearing doesn't quite make sense, since on the DVDs the swearing is uncensored so a few more curse words wouldn't have made much of a difference.
