Citrix Systems

Citrix MetaFrame is a type of software for a Citrix printer. It allows to print over a server and provides the needed support for this activity. One can find more details on the Citrix website.

Citrix farm is a collection of citrix servers which provide published applications to all users. It also prevent singel of failure of all citrix servers due to load balanced capabilities.

Its a collection of subsystems (dll) that communicate each other and provides services/functions to the presentation server. It works on the port 2512 and 2513. The port 2512 is used for communication between servers and the port 2513 is used for communication with CMC.

CMOS (complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor) usually describes a small amount of memory on a computer motherboard that stores the BIOS settings. Powered by a small battery, the CMOS also stores time and date details, etc. If the time and date on the computer is wrong whenever the computer is booted up, then a failing CMOS battery is a likely cause - and needs to be replaced.

If there wasn't a CMOS battery, or it is a dud, mains power could possibly (as happened on an old laptop of mine, so time ago!) be used to run the computer, but time and date will need to be updated manually on each reboot.
