How do you remove rear brake drum on a citroen 2cv?

First thing, before you even start, you need to spend some money. A couple of things need replacing.

Rear wheel drum retaining nut - 44mm

Socket for said nut

probably a 3/4 to 1/2" drive adaptor for said nut

Long bar - ideally 3/4 inch + steel bar - you may well need to stand on it - or impact wrench, a manual one will almost certainly not be able to do the job

Hammer

Punch

Centre for nut - metal one's are no longer available, buy a plastic one. Don't try and refit the metal one, it will never be dirt or watertight once it is off.

beware - the torque is huge!

Prise out centre cap using a flat screwdriver.

Nut is peened into a groove in the shaft, hit the peen out with a hammer and punch until it looks like the nut will move.

Apply pressure using whatever method you like, you may well need the bar, an extension piece and you to stand on the end.

You will need to replace and torque the nut afterwards, peen it in and replace the cap

How do you get the spare wheel off a citroen relay van?

Hi just had air escaping from between rim and tyre so needed to change wheel and No Manual! (Yea I know simple for those that have done before) So here goes: wheel is underneath rear of van - on left rear of wheel retaining bracket you will see a verticle tube which your jack will go into and just take the weight to lower! Next open the rear van doors and on the black plastic inside part of the bumper trim you will see 2 x small squares of plastic with cut-out slits either side (put screw driver in both to easily lift off) = 2 x silver bolts = undo until bracket will swing clear of retaining hooks (dont fully remove). Now lower jack so wheel can slide out! PS As typical you will find small indents in the lower sill side panels indicating where the holes are to put the jack into, well done Citroen it was fairly straight forward. HOWEVER the ratchet spanner broke within 1 minute and had I not had a huge adjustable in my van I would have been stumpted at the side of the road!

How does C4 work?

C4 is an explosive compound known as RDX that is coated with a plastic binder. The plastic basically serves as both an protector for the explosive, and as an malleable feature for it.

Since the explosive has a coating of plastic over it, to set off C4, a blasting cap or wire is usually inserted into the explosive, and a jolt of electricity sent through it to set the RDX off.
