After discussing this with my Urologist after several bouts with kidney stones and a kidney removed, I've been told that foods I should avoid are strawberries and spinach but there are numerous others that could be found on several web sites. Dark soda and any kind of Tea should also be avoided. When I see some health shows touting the benefits of drinking tea and eating strawberry's and spinach, they fail to tell you that these foods and drinks can cause kidney stones in people susceptible to them. Clear drinks are ok such as diet soda, ginger ale, sprite, 7up. No coke or pepsi of any kind and of course drink lots of water. Stay hydrated. Lemon ade (no sugar) or water with fresh lemon are great to prevent kidney stones.
