I sat with the IV in my arm for about 10 minutes before I was wheeled back into the surgery room, then a oxygen mask was placed over my face and my doctor told me to take some deep breaths. Everything started to get bright and before I knew it I was awake in the recovery room. The soreness after the surgery is much worse than the needle for the IV.
