Can a dugong be a pet?

From my experience, Dugong's make excellent pets. They are extremely child friendly and mostly keep clean on their own, (please keep in mind a pooper scooper is required after large meals). One thing I want to point out is that they require a large amount of space to thrive. In my case, once Hoover, the name of my pet Dugong, outgrew his fish tank, I went and bought an inflatable pool (Swim Center Family Lounge Swimming Pool) to keep him in. He seemed to thoroughly enjoy it and the children were able to swim along side him in the living room. Best of luck!
