What license do you need to operate an excavator?

To operate an excavator, you typically need a valid operator's license or certification, which varies by region. Additionally, some employers may require specific qualifications or endorsements related to heavy machinery operation. Always check local regulations and employer requirements to ensure compliance.

What kind of license to operate excavator?

In the UK the holder of a full category B (car) driving licence may drive any excavator, (which is deemed an item of engineering plant, designed or constructed specifically for engineering operations). Exemptions are granted under legislation for excavators which are classed as "digging machines", vehicles which are limited to travel on a public road only for the purpose of proceeding to or from sites - used for trench digging or any kind of excavating or shovelling work. The requirement for competence on site is another issue. By law employers should ensure that all excavator operators receive information instruction and training on the respective item of plant. UK major contractors may demand that excavator operators on their sites are in possession of a nationally accepted scheme, ticket/card, that highlights their competence. For example the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme, NPORS, is an health and Safety Executive, HSE, accredited plant training organisation.

If an excavator bucket is 36 inches wide 36 inches high and 27 inches deep how many yards is the volume?

3 ft x 3ft x 2.25 ft = 20.25 cu ft = 0.75 yards

Note: this is the theoretical volume and not the effective one. You have to consider the nature of soil to establish the bucket fill factor: ex light soil you have an overload, so you multiply x 110%, heavy soil x 95%, roc x 85%, etc.

Were do you buy parts for IHI mini excavator track drive?

IHI mini excavators are great machines, but the downfall of some is the crappy Nachi track drives they use. These motors and planetarys are "OEM only" - in other words, they are only supplied to the machine manufacturer and therefore are are very expensive to repair or replace. I suggets you do what I am now in the process of doing - changing both motors with brand new motors of another reputable brand, cheaper than I can get the parts to rebuild one Nachi unit! Good luck!
