Trade is important to a community because it allowed people to get resources they didn't have in their own area.They would trade their surplus(an extra amount of food).

as far as I know.... the word fair... we're all familiar with . However, "square" which in the old days referred also to somebody who is honest... originates from "being on the square".... i.e. being a mason..... and therefore reliable, trustworthy... etc.

fair trade is such a hot topic because nowadays many people are very concerned about the environment and others for e.g. if you pay a cocoa farmer more of his cocoa beans he will have more money to look after the cocoa plants in their natural habitat and not have to cut down trees in the forest and will also use less fertiliser and pesticides, this will help save the environment.

All the 'fairtrade' goods are imported giving the farmers a 'fair' price for their products - they are also mostly all healthy (or at least healthier than other alternitaves) giving your body healthy, kinetic energy! It isn't just to help you, you know - it's about helping our species wherever we may be....
in a 'utopia' or an idealistic world, a fair society would be a communism society, but in realistic terms, it doesnt wr=ork like that due to humans been selfish and greedy.
the best way to work towards a fair society would be with a certain percentage of everyones wage been taxed, rather tahn the more you earn the more your taxed etc. and just things like been equally to difeent ethnic minorities, gender, sexualities all that stuff really.
