First of all a Glock is, as you state an ARMY ARMAMENT- it is a full-scale military firearm and as such falls under all the applicable gun control laws. You'd have to define "cheap". You can check online auction sites or local gun shops to see if they have or can get law enforcement trade-ins, or maybe you'll get lucky and stumble across a really good deal on one.

Better in which regards? Both are high quality pistols, which fill a specific niche. If you wanted something for concealment purposes, the Walther would be a good choice, although Glock does make subcompact pistols in .40. However, the PPK would be a bit easier to control than the Glock 27, which is going to have considerably more recoil and muzzle flash. The Glock has no exposed hammer, which helps avoid snags on clothing as it's being drawn.

Ultimately, it comes down to what you're comfortable with, and which one suits your specific needs better.

Glocks are *usually* black in color and have a very "boxy" appearance. They have no visible hammer or safety. Their sights are usually raised box sights. They can have barrels ranging from 3" to 5" and grips ranging from two finger grips (trigger plus two fingers) to full grips. Stock Glocks will have either no finger grooves or only one small finger grooves. Glocks are always handguns unless they have been modified by the user.

If I were to take a guess as to why you have one in the Philippines with US markings.... If it's a service issue weapon, probably because it was delivered through a US military/law enforcement aid programme. When such funds are distributed from the US government, it's usually with a stipulation that it be used to buy materiel from US companies, and, in order to purchase Glock pistols with these funds, it would be required for them to go through the US subsidiary, rather than direct through the Austrian one.

Looking at a brief rundown of gun laws there, it seems to give the impression that individuals authorised to own such firearms have the ability to have them imported, as well, although I could be misreading it.
