You are 6 feet tall so should you buy Glock 17 or Glock 19 for yourself?
There is not a hard and fast answer to your question. A firearm should fit your hand properly. It should fit your planned activities. It should fit your needs. And, it should fit your idea of what a firearm should be.
Start by answering these questions;
1. Why am I considering buying a firearm?
Answers, Home defense, concealed carry, target practice, always wanted one...
2. I have received professional training through?
Answers, N.R.A. Certified Instructor, Military, law enforcement
3. What type of shooting am I planning?
Answers, Personal protection, target, work related
4. Have I thought about the dedication to safety that goes with firearm ownership?
Answers, Yes, I am properly trained. Yes, I am going to attend a firearm safety class via N.R.A. Certified Instructor or law enforcement. No, I had not thought about it (see question 2).
Find a local gun store and try each model on for size. DO NOT PURCHASE A FIREARM UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN PROPERLY TRAINED. Quality firearms safety courses will provide multiple firearms for you to "try on" and gain experience with THEIR firearms before you spend YOUR money to buy one. Get Trained, Get Fitted, Be Safe.
How do you convert Glock to automatic?
Get a Glock 18!
There are some very complex ways in which to legally
convert a currently semi auto glock into full auto.
the very first step is to become an FFL 07 SOT, the
second thing is to get a "demo letter" from a police/
sheriff's office requesting a demo of said weapon.
remember kids, the BATFE is "on to" the "i will get
my FFL so i can get some machine guns" idea.

Why Glock 34 does not function when compensator is added on?
The compensator is causing the action to bind, or the additional weight is preventing the slide from moving freely.
How do you take the top slide off a HFC Glock 17 HA-117?
Remove the magazine and make sure the gun is empty. Actually pull the slide back, look in the chamber and make SURE the gun is empty. You need to have an uncocked gun to do this, so after pointing the gun in a safe direction, pull the trigger. Now hold the gun in one hand in such a way that you can retract the slide a bit (less than 1/2 inch) and hold it in that position with just one hand. I put my thumb on the back of the grip in the normal firing postion, then wrap my fingers over the top of the slide. Then with just a little squeeze, I can pull the slide back the necessary amount. Then with your other hand, pull down on both the small levers near the front of the slide on both sides of the gun. That unlocks the slide and allows you to push the slide forward off the front of the frame.
$550 - $600 depending on condition. Look at Glock.com for MSRP.

What kind of info? Its the 'in-between' size for the 22 and 27. Its a .40 caliber. I own one. It's large enough to carry on your hip. Small enough to conceal. Will accept glock 22 mags, even 32 round .40 caliber rounds. A nice gun. I recommend night sights. Trijicon is great.
Can a Glock .40 also shoot 9mm?
The short answer is no. The barrel and magazines are different. Generally speaking, you should never try to fire any cartridge in a gun other than what the gun is designed to fire.
