How many grapes should you eat in a day?

This last previous answer was incorrect. The USDA currently has listed that 1 serving of grapes is 1/2 cup, which they say is about 15 grapes (depending on sizes).

Just because the USDA says 1 medium bunch is 50 grapes DOES NOT mean that's a serving size, that was listed as how many grapes you should eat a day as though that was the only fruit you had the whole day.

Meaning, the USDA listed that 1 medium bunch (50 grapes) = the reccommended amount to eat for the reccomended amount of servings of fruit to eat daily.

Aka: approx 50 grapes = 2-4 servings of fruit

Previous answer:

I'm surprised how it seems most websites have it wrong. According to the USDA:

Grapes - 1 medium bunch (about 50 grapes)

Fruit Group: counts as 1 ½ cups fruit

That means ~33 grapes = 1 serving of fruit.

Of course, 1 serving is proportionally more or less, the smaller or larger the grapes.

Can you Freeze Grapes?

OH YUMMY!!! Red grapes seedless of courses are excellent in the summer (or anytime of year) they are like candy from the freezer. They get sweeter. I learned this many years ago from my Italian grocer. Little sweet ice balls sooo yummy & refreshing.. OH I have to go out & buy some & freeze them now. Never tried any other seedless type though. I Have bought frozen fruit mixes the green grapes are sometimes added but they turn brown & mushy but the red are in there, I wonder how many people don't know if they don[t defrost them they are serving an extra treat! and......

OH PLEASE don't be tempted to give them to your dogs, they are harmful to dogs, all grapes & raisins are!! Make homemade frosty paws instead, much healthlier.

What is boycott grapes?

The Delano grape strike was a strike, boycott, and secondary boycott led by the United Farm Workers (UFW) against growers of table grapes in California. The strike began on September 8, 1965, and lasted more than five years. The strike was significant victory for the UFW, leading to a first contract with these growers.

The strike began when the Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee, mostly Filipino farm workers in Delano, California, led by Philip Vera Cruz, Larry Itliong, Benjamin Gines and Pete Velasco, walked off the farms of area table-grape growers, demanding wages equal to the federal minimum wage.[1][2][3] One week after the strike began, the predominantly Mexican-American National Farmworkers Association, led by Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta, joined the strike, and eventually the two groups merged, forming the United Farm Workers of America in August 1966.[3] Quickly, the strike spread to over 2,000 workers.

Through its grassroots efforts-utilizing consumer boycotts, marches, community organizing and nonviolent resistance-the movement gained national attention for the plight of some of the nation's lowest-paid workers.[2][3] By 1970, the UFW had succeeded in reaching a collective bargaining agreement with the table-grape growers, affecting in excess of 10,000 farm workers.
