We pride ourselves in having direct experience with agencies and support coordination in Virginia, Maryland and DC. Unlike many consultants we are local and have direct involvement in the work and changes that occur in system delivery and regulations on a day to day basis.
OUR MISSION
To increase the quality of potential and existing providers of DD Residential Supports (Group Homes), Assisted Living Facilities and Home Health agencies. To improve the quality of individuals’ lives by being an advocate for those who live in settings other than the natural home. We pride ourselves in being a consultant for waiver group homes and an expert Group Home Consultant.

There are many types of worker jobs in a group home. Some include therapists, doctors, nurses, and caregivers.
You can try looking through your local phone book. It would depend on where you live. You can also try your local government office to see if they have a guide to where you can call and look.
They should be allowed in one. I don't believe a service animal can be turned away as long as they know that your animal is a service animal.
Not necessarily, it is normally a part of your benefit package once you have accepted the position
GOD WOULD I LOVE TO KNOW!!!!! I've been having such trouble with my daughter, and this state is a joke when it comes to these issues. if and or when you find out, please let me know.
depending on the type of group home, if there are disabled residents or not. usually most of the residents go through a fire drill once a month and know what to do. there should be multiple fire exits. if you have a fire and you have wheelchair bound or slower walking residents some say to place them on a heavy blanket and pull it to the nearest door. i had 5m to get 12 wheelchair bound people out during a fire drill....i made it.
You can find information online or at your local Job Centre as well as enquiring at Job Agencies about this type of work. Searching online can also give you information on companies that directly hire employees for a group home role.
The group home staff is supposed to provide services to adult clients all day.
