Jimi Hendrix died September 18, 1970, London. He asphyxiated on his own vomit after an overdose of his girlfriends sleeping pills.
Well, he met them in california in a local bar, they were playing a gig and when he went up to play, they thought he was pretty good and asked him to join them.
He would take a vial of liquid acid and drip it strategically on his bandana, then slice is forehead, and tripped balls like no other. Ever notice whenever he had his bandana on during a show, his eyes were barely open...when they were he was glancin down at his guitar or up into the sky
no, he put a sheet of acid, or lined up acid tabs, and stuck it behind his bandana...
-He actually took strips of bacon and put them behind his bandana, the grease from the bacon cause zits to form on his forehead, he would pop the zits and drop the acid directly into the pours.
Jimi Hendrix never had and kids.
Sorry, you're wrong. Jimmi did have children.
Tamika Laurence James born 1966
and James Daniel Sundqvist born in 1969
and rumoured a daughter whose identity has been kept a secret.
His music changed the course of music in many ways, Most bands are influenced by him.
I heard this story about the song, but I'm not sure about its relevance.
Somewhere during his stay in Europe Jimi remained in a hippie commune near the Moroccan city of Essaouira, on the Atlantic coast.
This commune was situated near the remnants of a new part of the city that was built somewhere in the 18th century, but got abandoned due to it being overtaken by the desert. It was litterally half dunes, half buildings ... Which would apply to the title of "Castles made of sand".
Anyone who can back this up ?
Greetz,
L.
I'll give you a couple, because I was there. A band known as Cat Mother played great rock and roll covers; Johnny B. Goode, and so on, and really set the pace for a great rock concert. Then a band called C.T.A. performed music for the ages, literally. Introduction was their first song, and I can't remember the order, but Beginnings, Does Anybody Know What Time It Is? and I'm sure, I'm A Man was on the list; have you guessed that it was Chicago, yet? They were called Chicago Transit Authority. 1969 was when you could get three bands on a bill for $6.50. Not that concerts today are any less vital, because the artists are still great. But the Jimi Hendrix Experience was a phenomenon back then. He wore a purple leather vest for the gig, with fringe, and his hair was pulled back into a pony tail. He didn't burn anything, except the air of rock and roll music.
Jimi Hendrix attended school in Seattle, Washington. Jimi's last school that he attended was Garfield High School but he did not graduate.
Leonard Chess is attributed with discovering Etta James and putting her the Chess Record label. They never had and children together. James had 2 children of her own and Chess had a son that eventually took over the record label.
He got injured during a test jump, also he probably had enough
He died from asphyxiation by eating too many sleeping pills.
Jimi was in high school for four years and earned his diploma at Seattle's Garfield High School. An interesting and little-known fact is that one of Jimi's peers in his school that he happened to share the same birthday with was Bruce Lee.
Jimi Hendrix is remembered for his incredible guitar playing. He revolutionized the electric guitar by sharing the love of the instrument for all to explore. He showed that the African American community can accomplish anything and nothing will stop them. Lets not forget that Mr. Jimi not only being black african american, he is/was also half native american as he is/was a Cherokee Indian!
No, Hendrix played the following genres. Hard Rock, Blues Rock, Acid Rock, Psychedelic Rock, and Funk Rock.
