No. There are very few airports left in the U.S. that have smoking rooms, and JFK is not one of them.
For a full list of which airports have smoking rooms and which don't, see the Related Link below.
Fastest one-stop flight between New York City Airport (JFK) and San Jose Del Cabo takes 7 hours 30 minutes. However, some airlines could take as long as 32 hours based on the stopover destination and waiting duration.
JFK serves different airlines than LGA. JFK also is bigger, and there are more flights coming in per hour than LGA, as far as that goes, it is nicer.
JFK Airport is in the borough of Queens.
Their is a free transit service called 'Air Train' which operates between terminals. Terminal 7 is directly adjacent to terminal 8 and the one stop ride on Air Train should take approximately 90 seconds.
It's one of the easiest connections in the scheme of JFK transits.

If you are driving from West; From Belt Parkway West or Van Wick Expressway West to Nassau Expressway / continue on JFK Expressway, take Cargo Area D exit, take North Hangar Road on your right at the light, find building 75 (blue roof, AMB building) which is right across the Fedex Building.
If you are driving from East; Take Southern State East/Belt Parkway East to JFK exit, take first exit on your right, continue on the right, take the first right at the light (150th avenue), and the next left (North Hangar) at the light (cargo area D), drive about a mile, find building 75 on your right - North Hangar road (blue roof, AMB building) which is right across the Fedex Building.
If you are using Public transportation, take LIRR to Jamaica station, take a cab to JFK (it is about $12-$15), and give the above directions to the taxi driver. OR, take air train to JFK from any other train station close to you, get out at Federal Circle, take a bus to North Hangar Road, and ask the driver to drop you off at building 75 stop
If you are using Public transportation, take the Q3 bus from Jamaica Terminal 165th st or any where on Farmers Blvd. This bus takes you straight to building 75 plus its the cheapest way. You can also take Q6 and walk from Farmers and Rockaway Blvd. It's about 3-4 blocks
i dont think there is a terminal 8 not in uk The distance from one terminal to the next would be different from one airport to another.
Take the AirTrain shuttle (for $5) to the Howard Beach station on the A train (of the A-C-E, the blue line). Purchase a plastic MetroCard or a paper Single Ride ticket, and take the Manhattan-bound A to 34th Street-Penn Station.
Subway fare is $2.50 for a Single Ride ticket, and $2.25 per ride using a plastic pay-per-ride MetroCard. Unlimited ride MetroCards are also available.
Penn Station is at 31st to 34th Street, between 8th and 7th Avenues. The A-C-E line runs along 8th Avenue, so you will exit Penn Station at 8th Avenue (the west entrance/exit).
Best way is to hail a taxicab. Sure, it will cost a few dollars, but NYC is a huge city, and one can easily get lost in seconds.
You can always catch a yellow cab at the airport, although you might have to wait awhile for one. If you don't want to wait, you can call a car service. There are two main companies that service the New York City area: Carmel (212-666-6666) and Dial 7 Car & Limo (212-777-7777). Both provide excellent service; it really doesn't matter which one you pick.
You can also take the subway. There is a shuttle (called the AirTrain) which takes you from inside the JFK terminals to the Howard Beach Station of the A train (of the A-C-E, the blue line). The A train will take you to the west side of Harlem (125th Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue).
If you need to get to the center of Harlem (as opposed to the western edge of it), you can transfer at Penn Station (34th Street) or at Times Square (42nd Street) for the Uptown 2 or 3 trains (of the 1-2-3, the red line). The 2 or 3 will also take you to 125th Street, but a few avenue blocks east of Saint Nicholas Avenue. You will get out at 125th Street and Lenox Avenue(which is also called Malcolm X Boulevard).
See the Related Link below for a complete New York City subway map.
