Kosovo is currently administered by the UN. At the moment, no visa is required for entry. You may need, however, valid proof of your intentions for your visit to show the border guards.

A series of revolutions from 1804 until 1815 forced the Ottoman Empire to recognize Serbia as a self-governing principality. The remainder of the movement to full independence would take from 1815 to 1878 and it proceeded gradually. The Ottoman Turks acknowledged Serbia's rights and borders in 1830 and 1833.
