At the Apple Store in IFC

Since the macbooks must be returned and repaired, it may take a while. They seem to release the refurbished MacBooks in batches so they are available for a day or two and then there is a gap when they are not available while they build up another batch. It is a case of checking in everyday and then ordering one quickly when they have them.

The casing for Apple's current range of MacBook Pros is carved from a single piece of aluminum (See links below) and they do not offer additional colours.

As stated below, previous Command Line Interface (CLI) systems were difficult to use, relying on precise typing of (often complex) text-string commands, such as DIR C:\DOS\*.EXE /s /od.

As well, CLIs did not present graphical material such as graphs and diagrams, although specialist programs could.

Word processing and page setting were difficult under CLIs, but the Graphical User Interface (popularised by Apple) finally gave true What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG), giving accurate renditions of pages as they would print.

The Apple Macintosh is famous for its Graphical User Interface (GUI).

The GUI had been developed at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Centre (PARC), when Apple became aware of the technology. There was dispute about the legality of Apple's adoption of Xerox's invention.

With Apple's second outing, the Macintosh, the GUI finally became accepted across the industry.

In brief, the original intent of the Apple line of computers was to create an operating system that was accessible to a non-technical user. Remember, at that time computers were mostly DOS or UNIX-like systems (command line interface, where everything needed to be typed out as direct instructions to the system). Apple was the first major computer line to use a graphical user interface, point-and-click mouse, and other innovations that in this day allow computer to be used by just about anyone, without technical expertise.

Nero is only available for the Windows operating system and will not work with Mac OS X. A similar product for Mac OS X would be Toast. (See links below)

First thing you do is save your files to discs. Next, deauthorize you account from your old computer. Then, import your files to your new MacBook. Finally, authorize your account from your new MacBook.

Both the Garageband and iMovie (found in a Mac's Application folder) can be used to change the sound of a voice. Amusing results can be achieved with the addition of Voice Candy software. (See links below)

Purchases should be made from the local Apple on line store (See links below) or an authorised dealer.

It's not bad unless you have unsaved files or maybe programs doing important stuff. It's always safer to do a standard shutdown to avoid that potential problem, especially since it only takes a few seconds.

try seeing if someone can fix your mac book if you have a mac book pro it probably wont work but my friend has a mac book and starcraft 2 works just fine

From the Apple menu icon (top left corner) select About This Mac and the version of Mac OS X installed is shown in the window that opens. The Software Update button will list any available updates to your system's software.

MacBook Pros have cd/dvd drives that can read and write CDs and DVDs. They do not have 3.5 drives, nor do they have 5.25 inch drives which no Apple computer for a decade now. You will need to purchase a separate USB compatible 3.5" drive if you need one.

Different countries use different keyboard layouts. The flag shown in the menu bar indicates which layout is being used. Clicking on the flag reveals a menu from which you can Open International... which is in System Preferences where you can change the settings or turn off the flag in the menu bar.

I have the same problem. It stays on fine once it's on, but I need the power cord to initially turn it on. Have you found any results?

Take it to the nearest Apple store, along with a bunch of shekels, and hope for the best.

They are for if you need to store the charger while traveling, or other such stuff. You pop them out and wrap the cord around them.

Don't turn it off because then you will get a virus when you play, wheter or not you are a member. No matter what, you will get a virus from playing.

All USB ports on Apple MacBook Pro's are version 2.0 and are all high-powered. It is strongly recommended to connect your MacBook Pro to the AC power adapter when using one or more of the USB ports for high-powered devices.
