Powdery Mildew is a common fungal problem found on a number plants.
The fungus is cosmopolitan and found where ever conditions are favourable for development: damp foilage, poor air circulation, soft tissue or plants under stress. Development of the fungus can be prevented by remedial action to the above conditions or by applying a suitable fungicide. Normally copper-based fungicides are used for grapes.
It is not a good description. A slime mold is a protist.
Most types of mildew are classified as fungus, and fungi belongs to the taxonomic domain of Eukarya.Eukarya covers all organisms in the Kingdom Fungi, as well as the Kingdoms Plantae, Animalia and Protista.
Mold needs a very dark, damp, or wet climate to grow.
united kindom
united kingdom is a place... not a classification kingdom
Damp conditions are the leading cause of mould and mildew.
Mildew flourishes in areas that are constantly damp.
e.g. showers, sinks
Mildew is a Fungi which is not a plant or animal. But however it is a living plant disease.
So yes Mildew is a living thing :)
The cheeses with mold include those with a white, dusty looking covering, and those veined with blue or green.
Cheeses covered with whitish dust have a mold called Penicillium camemberti on them. These cheeses include brie camambert and other similar cheeses.
Cheeses veined with blue or green usually have a mold called Penicillium roqueforti, and these include roquefort, ordinary blue cheese, Danish blue cheese, and some types of gorgonzola. Traditional gorgonzola is made with Penicillium glaucum.
Any cheese can get moldy, but this is not what is supposed to happen. Cheeses such as cheddar, colby, Swiss, gouda, and so on, should not have mold. These cheeses are often protected by a covering of wax, a rind, or a plastic package to prevent air from getting to the cheese. Any cheese that has access to even the tiniest amount of air can get moldy.
are green olives with blue mold in jare safe to eat
Honestly i dont think it really has a taste. one time i had black mold spots on my tea bags but i didn't know what it was so i brewed it anyway. the tea tasted just the same to me. i brewed the mold - moldy tea! gross, but it seemed fine and had no ill effects. i wouldn't do it again though, since mold is toxic.
Actually, cottage cheese can get moldy. I have seen pink, green and black molds growing on cottage cheese that was forgotten in the fridge.
