One way to take mildew stains from fabric blinds is with a hand held steam cleaner. You can also brush away as much of the stain as possible, then spray a mixture of baking soda and lemon juice on the stain. Let it sit for a bit, and then wipe it away.

I Developed a floating Swimming pool skimmer. And got an email from someone with the same problem, Reckoned that no mater what he did the stuff just kept coming back. Anyway to cut a long story short He figured that if he could keep the surface properly skimmed then he would get rid of the problem and it worked for him. Wash them first in 2 cups of white vinegar only. No detergent. Follow by washing them in 2 cups of baking soda. Again, no detergent. Use Hot cycle both times. Allow to soak an hour or so in each if possible. After both washes, wash with detergent as normal. Make sure they get fully dry in the dryer. This is especially important with denim and towels. Try soaking the uniform in a solution of household ammonia and water overnight, then laundering as usual. The ammonia shouldn't affect the color of the uniform, and will definitely kill the mildew and remove the remaining stain.

take a bowl filled with water and add about a cup of detergent and a half cup of bleach and then for fragrance blend 2 cups of strawberries and pour in the mixture place the shirt or trend into the bowl cover up with plastic wrap or with anything u wanna use and place in fridge about a day later the mold or stain is gone! :)

Mold cannot grow in sunny places because the sunlight will stunt the growth. Dark, damp and warm places are the best places for mold to grow.

Mildew is caused by lack of airflow and moisture in the air. You can get rid of it by using bleach, but that won't deal with the underlying cause. You have to change the environment. Open the windows or get an extractor system if you can. Make sure that the area outside of the window is clean and dry. If the window is low, make sure than there is drainage so that water does not bounce up into the window frame. Replace caulking as needed.

Get a small spray bottle and fill it 2/3 full of water and 1/3 full of bleach. Spray it on the mildew and let it set in. Wipe it off with a wet rag and repeat until it disappears. This method also works on bathroom walls where mildew and mold like to accumulate over and near the shower.

Probably the best way is to have it dry cleaned, or, if that's not an option, have it brushed thoroughly, then let it lay exposed to the sun for a few hours. The sunlight should kill the mildew. I would just like to add something for you to try: This worked for a pair of leather pants, it also works on old books. Wrap the item in a plastic freezer bag, or just wrap it tightly and freeze it. I left stuff in for a couple weeks, smell is gone!

I was told to keep my pH at 8.0 and maintain 3.0 for free cholrine to keep my vinyl liner from getting the "vinyl plague" (mold bleeding through the liner). I just recently have this problem and I'm starting to do this and the brown stains are supposed to disappear.

I had a vinyl mold problem in my in-ground pool. I too was told to remove the liner and treat the dirt. As it turns out, we had a automatic cover installed. Keeping the pool covered when not in use made the mold go away. I assume it needs a certain amount of sunlight to prosper.
