Why does orochimaru want Sasuke?
Sasuke Uchiha has the 'Sharingan' ability, an asset that Orochimaru would find very useful.
Also, Sasuke is a very powerful Ninja, already adept at Taijutsu, Genjutsu and Ninjutsu.
Orochimaru has already managed to put a curse upon Sasuke, which lends Sasuke a portion of Orochimaru's power at certain points.
Orochimaru believes that by lending him such power, Sasuke will hunt for more, eventually leading him to find Orochimaru.
Another reason is that Orochimaru eventually wants to take over Sasuke's Body because he is so powerfull. once Sasuke kills Itachi, Orochimaru Plans to inhabit Sasuke's soul.

Actually, Itachi does die, Sasuke gets his powers and so on. Sasuke leaves in the original, and comes back in the shippuden. Sasuke leaves but Sakura still has feelings for him and some say they get together but I think Naruto ans Sakura are meant to be, but I am not quite sure! :)

ITACHI DOES DIE! if u read the manga it will make sense!ok this is my point of view for most people who get it wrong about naruto.now in the episode of shippuden where sakura vs. sasori,she almost dies cause she is stabed through the stomach,but grama chioh saves her.now in episode 141 of series 1,before he grows up,naruto had almost dies of kabuto,a.k.a the jonine from the puma clan had used chakra thread on him.which made her heart controll naruto's.as for sasuke,he had almost died when him and haku went one on one.and sakura almost looses him.now for the info on the show,the story of naruto is about a baby infant who poses a demon fox,or kuibi,that has 9 tails.and then after minato the 4th hokage put the spirit in him to save konohagakure,he gave naruto this spirit.after years of being teased and called a freak,naruto became a genine(first rank ninja)and this was only cause he had stollen a scroll with all kinds of forbidden jutsu on it,he stoll it cause he needed help,so he had learned shadow clone jutsu and mastered it beating up misuki cause he was a ninja who wanted the scroll for himself,but used naruto to get it.so he became a shinoi due to iruka's behalf and treated him for ramen,which is naruto fav.food.so as the episodes continued naruto became a little less goofy and trained along team 7 kakshi hatake's team with sasuke uchiha,naruto uzimaki,and sakura haruno.now as he carried his fox demon within him,the shadowy organization called ''akatsuki''had gone after junchuriki wich are ninja with tailed beasts.anyways,sometime into this show,sasuke left just as naruto was becoming stronger.in previous episodes sakura cut her long hair to save sasuke durn the chunine exams wich orochimaru gave sasuke a cursed mark.so he left for his intrest to kill his brother itachi.sakura did every thing to save him but it did'NT work .so then after he left naruto went after him,regarding his promise to sakura,and ended up in the hospital.but promised to train harder with jyria and become a toad sage.so he left for 2.5 years and then came back as a full flexed shinobi,and went after akatsuki.which in the manga,defeted pein,the leader.and some point on sasuke joined akatsuki.and almost /or killed killer bee.and this was cause sasuke left orohimaru shortley after his death,no regards on kabuto.and danzo became hokage.so that's about all the info given and i will give more later,byum number 4 what da hell have u really Eva watched shippuden and if u have u must not know how to understand itachi dies cause of disease of some sort and he transfers all his power to sasuke.
