It varies depending on the standings of the teams that are positioned to get into the playoffs. The top eight teams from each conference get in, but the number of wins that have gotten teams to the playoffs go from as low as around 36 wins to being as high as 72 wins. Any NBA team that wants to qualify for the playoffs has to finish with a better record than the team holding eighth place in their conference.
Because there's a lockout going on. The same type of stuff is happening on NBA.com where you can't view any past videos. It sucks though.

The Diamondbacks have gone to the playoffs in 1999, 2001, 2002 and 2011. In 1999 they lost in the NLDS to the New York Mets 3-1. In 2001 the D-Backs won the World Series by beating the St. Louis Cardinals 3-2 in the NLDS, Atlanta Braves 4-1 in the NLCS and the New York Yankees 4-3 in the World Series. In 2002 they lost in the NLDS 3-0 to the Cardinals. And in 2011 they lost 3-2 in the NLDS to the Milwaukee Brewers.
Depending on when the other teams finish, anywhere from late April to early May.
The 2008-09 NBA Playoffs featured the following 16 teams:
In the East:
(1) Cleveland Cavaliers vs. (8) Detroit Pistons
(2) Boston Celtics vs. (7) Chicago Bulls
(3) Orlando Magic vs. (6) Philadelphia 76ers
(4) Atlanta Hawks vs. (5) Miami Heat
In the West:
(1) Los Angeles Lakers vs. (8) Utah Jazz
(2) Denver Nuggets vs. (7) New Orleans Hornets
(3) San Antonio Spurs vs. (6) Dallas Mavericks
(4) Portland Trail Blazers vs. (5) Houston Rockets
The Warriors franchise has 2 NBA Championships (1956, 1975)
and 1 BAA Championship (1947)
It depends on how each series turns out. There are 4 rounds- 8 series in the first, 4 in the second, 2 in the third, and one for the championship. If each one takes 7 games, there is a total possible of 105 games. However, series usually do not take that long. Each series has a minimum of 4 games played.
So the total number of games ranges from 60-105 games.
It depends on which team because some teams have played more than others, but most teams have eight to ten games left until the playoffs.
1. 1994 Houston Rockets 4 New York Knicks 3
2. 1988 Los Angeles Lakers 4 Detroit Pistons 3

4. 1978 Washington Bullets 4 Seattle Supersonics 3
5. 1974 Boston Celtics 4 Milwaukee 3
6. 1970 New York Knicks 4 Los Angeles Lakers 3
7. 1969 Boston Celtics 4 Los Angeles Lakers 3
8. 1966 Boston Celtics 4 Los Angeles Lakers 3
9. 1962 Boston Celtics 4 Los Angeles Lakers 3
10. 1960 Boston Celtics 4 St. Louis Hawks 3
11. 1957 Boston Celtics 4 St. Louis Hawks 3
12. 1955 Syracuse 4 Ft. Wayne Pistons 3
13. 1954 Minneapolis Lakers 4 Syracuse 3
14. 1952 Minneapolis Lakers 4 New York 3
15. 1951 Rochester 4 New York 3
The NBA Western Conference has won slightly more championships, 23 to the Eastern Conference's 21. Top teams on each side are the Los Angeles Lakers with 11 championships and the Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls both tied with 6.
Actually, a handful of teams have done so. The most famous recent example would be the 2004 Boston Red Sox
against the heavily favoured Yankees.
The first team to do so was the 1942 Toronto Maple Leaves. Toronto came back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat the Detroit Red Wings, capturing the Stanley Cup.
The New York Islanders overcame this same deficit in 1975 NHL Quarterfinal Round defeating the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Islanders ultimately came up short losing to the Philadelphia Flyers
in the Semifinal Round. The Islanders are the only team to pull this comeback and not make it to the finals.
The Red Sox,
as already mentioned were the third franchise to overcome the long odds. The first and only team in the MLB History to do so, and the only non-hockey
franchise to do so as well.
The most recent that I am aware of is the Philadelphia Flyers
in 2010. The Flyers
took down the Boston Bruins in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The Flyers
also ultimately came up short falling to the Chicago Blackhawks
in the Stanley Cup Finals that year.
This feat has never been accomplished yet in the NBA. Hope this helps.

The NBA MVP gets a salary raise for every MVP award he receives.
Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics was the Finals MVP. There's no such thing as "playoff MVP".
They need four wins out of 7 to win the nba championship.
It's very much possible for Orlando Magic to make it to the NBA finals. It would be tough though because they will match up against the Boston Celtics who defeated the top seed Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2nd round. It would be experience versus youth.
The Los Angeles Lakers as of 2009, its their 30th NBA playoff appearance as well as nba finals appearance, gunning for their 15th overall title.
The Playoffs last through April and May and then the NBA finals start in June.

In his rookie season (2004-05), Dwight Howard played in 82 games.
no the lowest seed that has ever won an nba championship was the 7th seed Houston rockets in the 90s.
Actually, that Houston rockets team was 6th, but yes they were the lowest seeded team to ever win an nba title, in the 1995 NBA Finals
