In netball if you are WA or GA, attacking is just basically like defending its just a name for the position. you dont actually attack but, you ave to stand 3 feet from the person you're defending other wise it is called up for obstruction!

if it is done to a player a penalty pass is awarded where you have to stand next to the layer you were marking and caused this offence to while they take a pass and you are not allowed to interfere. Footwork and any unintentional minor offences are awarded a free pass which is a normally pass where you can interfere.

netball has changed very much over the years. a couple of changes are;

- the women's outfits. when netball first started, the women's outfits restricted them from carrying out certain moves. they couldn't run or dribble in the outfits so that is partly the reason they changed the rules to no running in possesion of the ball.

- the net. the first time netball was played (at Madame Osterburg's College in 1895), they used baskets for shooting. when a ball was thrown into the basket, the umpire had to go and receive the ball because there wasn't a hole in the bottom. nowadays, the net is on a pole and has a hole in the bottom.

fast netball is similar to normal netball but each team can choose a quarter to play power play. this means that when its your teams turn what ever you score it doubles, lets say that you scored a goal and it would usually count for 1 point, when its your power play it will double and count for 2.

also is fast netball you can shoot from outside the circle, this counts as 2 points.

If your playing NFL and you drop the ball and someone else picks it up that's called fumble so it doesn't count as interception. Just fumble.

I have been told that in an average game a centre runs for an average of 5miles in an hour long game so i imagine a wing player would cover about 3 1/2 miles =)

The tern obstruction in nerball basiclly means that you were defending within three feet of a player of the other team with the ball

Netball is a ball game played with 7 players on opposing teams; each player has a different position this is shown by lettering on a bib. To make a netball bib measure 2 rectangles of material in the color you want using the dimensions 30cm x 48cm. Sew along one of the shortest edges and make a scooped neck hole, at the other end join the two sides together with Velcro or elastic. Put on the positions in capital letters on each bib; GK, GA, GD, GS, C, WA and WD.

If you are refering to the International England team them most definitely not. Generally boys are only allowed to participate in female teams up until the age of 13 when they are deemed too old and as this is the point of physical development for boys they tend to out play the girls on the opposit team, at least in physical strength and speed.

Try watch both wing Attack and the ball at the time, maybe stand side on. Make sure you keep you outside arm in front of WA with out toucking them. It helps if you can keep up with them and try predict what they're gonna do next by watching their eyes and their feet!!

Netball was invented because basketball was a man's sports and woemn couldn't play because they became 'sweaty'. So they invented netball to combat this. Women didn't move with the ball therefore not running around and not becoming sweaty. They didn't imagine that it would take off quite so much and become one of the worlds most recognised sports.

To be a good netball player requires considerable ability. One must be able to move quickly and be agile when changing direction and holding their feet steady after they catch the ball. A player needs to be able to throw and catch competently and have sufficient upper body strength to pass steadily. It is also helpful if a player has good balance for defending and a sense of accuracy and precision for shooting.

Double marking is when two people are marking one person. It may happen on a centre pass. The centre without the ball may go and mark GA or WA because this is the popular position to throw it too.
