Nickelodeon was originally launched in December 1977 as the Pinwheel Channel. In April 1979, the channel re-launched itself declaring its name "Nickelodeon" and declaring its 1979 year as its official launch year. It has aired popular kids and teen shows such as "You Can't Do That On Television," "All That" and "The Secret World of Alex Mack." It also airs its annual Awards show which is now called the "Kids' Choice Awards." Nickelodeon has launched various cable and digital cable/satellite channels over the years such as TeenNick, Nicktoons, TV Land, Nickelodeon GAS and Nick Jr.

No, Spongebob is asexual, witch means he act gay but really isn't (something like that). Although (Just my opinion. And a lot of other peoples) I think spongebob loves sandy. on ripped pants and tea in the treedome, he goes through so much just to impress her. Also on the spongebob, sandy and the worm, the s for spongebob and s for sandy was very cute. But no, spongebob is not gay.
It was never implied that sponge bob was gay although he has a habit of always looking on the bright side of things even though at the time there maybe nothing to be happy about.
