Your ooVoo account is a free plan with unlimited usage; you will never be charged a fee. It does not cost anything to keep your account active even if you don't use it and it will maintain your contact list.
If you prefer to deactivate your account we recommend the following steps (even if you are just deactivating an extra account):
1) Sign into the account you wish to deactivate
2) Go to File>My Account>Edit My ooVoo Card
· In the Display Name field type: inactive
· Add .oovoo to the end of your email address to remove it from our list
· Remove your photo
3) Go to File>Settings>Privacy
- Change your Privacy setting so No One can Search for you or find you
4) Go to File>Emails
- Uncheck the boxes under Notification
5) Uninstall ooVoo from your computer:
(For XP) START/CONTROL PANEL/ADD OR REMOVE PROGRAMS/ scroll down and select ooVoo/ Then click REMOVE/
(For Vista) START/CONTROL PANEL/ PROGRAMS AND FEATURES/ select ooVoo / UNINSTALL/
(For Mac) Go to HD/APPLICATIONS/drag ooVoo to the trash. Also drag the ooVooInstaller on the desktop to the trash.

Go To ooVoo and then you are gone to see where it says " Free Download " your gonna click on that . And then your gonna come up to a page where it's gone ask you if you wanna download it on Window's or Mac . If you have an regular computer you gone choose Window's if your using an phone you are going too choose Mac . And then once you choose which ever one it's gonna download it [ of course ] and then ooVoo is gone become your homepage but you can change it tho . And then an ooVoo tool bar is gone come up on the top of your screen . Then a " Make An Account Thingy " is gone pop up and you have too make an accountt .

Yes, you can change your display name. All you do is:
1.File at the top of your display card
2.My account
3.Edit my oovoo card
4.it should come up with another note card with your display photo and a small box where you can change your display name. Type your name in the box that you would like it to be, and boom you have a new user!
