Parachutes

Al the Apollo spacecrafts use three parachutes.

Well, because the air catches on to the parachute and it slows it down faster

droping parcles , food and soldiers and also first aid and that

put water where it will drop, a lot of water

My initial thoughts are that the egg needs to be placed into something which will cushion the impact.... so how about a box (about twice the size of an egg) filled with sand or jelly, and fired by means of a catapult - look up a simple 'trebuchet' or slingshot.

Don't expect the egg to land safely - have someone catch it..... to the best of my knowledge that is not against the usual rules..... which only say that the egg must travel a certain distance, and must not break.
