He speaks to the Fallen Angels to convince them to take up arms, and he speaks to Eve to convince her to eat the fruit.

Milton reveals Satan's inner motivation, regret, pain and suffering, and hopelessness. He also reveals that Satan is jealous of mankind because God loves them more than him/the angels, so, therefore, he still seeks God's love. Satan feels like he has no other choice but to oppose God, not necessarily because he wants to. Hope I helped

Satan is depicted as a noble, tragic figure who is unjustly punished by God for refusing to supplicate himself. This characterization does change over the course of the novel, but it is this romanticism of the individual that has made this particular portrayal of Satan so enduring and popular, especially within many sub-cultures.

John Milton's intentions were not ones of misogyny in Paradise Lost. Eve liked her position in the world. God made the hierarchy and God made Adam above Eve and Adam below God. It was just the way it was and everyone was happy that way. One might argue and say that Eve always walked away when the angels were explaining the important aspects of life or the stories of the Battle of Heaven and Hell to Adam, but Milton clearly states that Eve wasn't left out on purpose. She preferred Adam's retellings because it was more fun that way for her. They flirted with each other and he took breaks in his storytelling to kiss her. It was another way for them to be closer. Milton even shows a suggestion of inner strength in the description of the power Eve has over Adam after she has eaten the fruit and persuades Adam to share in her sin. Hope that helps!

As far as I know, that's not explicitly specified in the Bible. However, it must have been an act of rebellion against God.
It could have been arrogance, trying to gain more power or to become god himself (like he tempted Adam and Eve). It could have been disagreement about God creating humans (as suggested by CS Lewis).

The first answer was right to a certain extent. Please allow me to enlighten you as far as my understanding goes.

In heaven God called a Grand Council in which all of His children attended including Christ His first born and Lucifer another favoured son. A plan was to be drawn up as to how all of God's children could be saved so that not one would be lost.

Two plans were put forward, one by Christ and the other by Lucifer. Two thirds of the host of heaven agreed with the plan of Christ whil one third sided wiith Lucufer.

Christ put forward his plan first and said that all mankind would have an agency to choose for themselves how they would act when placed upon the earth, and that all of the glory would go to God.

Lucifer however said that to save all makind he would force them to do right, and that he would take all of the glory upon himself and become as a God to take the place of his Father.

The scriptures say that a battle was fought between the two side. It would have been a battle of words. Lucifer lost as did the ones who supported him. Satan and his followers were cast out of heaven, never to receive a body, but to allow Christs plan to succeed they were allowed to torment man.

Lucifer, meaning Sun of the Morning. Will never receive his body, neither will his followers. Those who came to earth and chose to do the things most evil and warranted being sent to Hell for a better word, would have their bodies returned to them, but would remain with Satan and his angels.
