Go to you local grocery store ask the butcher for beef heart. Slice it up for them. Also, any other white fish at the counter.. Even catfish. ..my store stocks swai for $1.99lb and they love it. When you can find raw shrimp on sale get that.. Don't cook it and I peel mine. Mine are very happy and knows when it's feeding time. Remember, don't feed them goldfish. One, messy, they carry disease, and no nutrition value for your RB. I even spoke to a chemist regarding goldfish and he told me they a chemical in them that will stunt your RBs growth...:(

The tank has a "nominal capacity" of around 37.5 US Gallons. Filling it to within 1" of the top and having 2" of gravel substrate for plants to grow in will reduce its capacity considerably. So lets assume the tank actually contains 30 US gals of water. There are several species of fish called "Piranha" so I will assume you mean the species most often available in the US they are (Pygocentrus nattereri) This species can grow to 10 inches long, so using the basic rule of 1 inch of fish needs 1 gallon of water, you could just house 3 in the tank you mentioned.

We classify piranhas as fish because the live underwater, they have gills and scales and fins, and they are essentially similar to other forms of fish such as salmon and tuna etc. They are obviously fish.

They should be kept in groups of 4 or more and in at least 55 gallons for 4 of them. The temp. should be 75 to 80 degrease, you NEED a heater for this fish! P.H should be between 6.0-7.5. You should have double the filtration for your tank, so if your tank is 55 gallons you should have at least 100 gallons of filtration. They can be trained to eat pelets, flakes, live things(goldfish,rosy red minos,minos,tetras,worms,anything like that. Also they should be feed blood worms every once in a wile. Dark bottom substrate(perferably gravle) will show your fishes natraule colors. You should have dim lighting, and many hiding places because these fish are very skiddish, and scardy cats. Keep them weel fed or they will eat each other.

Nothing really besides large plecos, and larger tetras,and tinfoil barbs can be kept with the pirhana. anything els would end up in their mouth.

Red belly piranha (aka rbp) are really fun pets to have. But can be very very expensive. The most I have ever paid for ONE is 350$ but they usually cost between 200-250 for One.
