no the guests are real with real stories,the stories may be a little over exagerated but still real.

The polygraph I'm not sure about but would love to find out myself even though a lot of people that been on the show said the tests are fake but what you expect them to say when their test come back saying subject did not tell the truth

US supream court deemed the "Lie detector" test inadmissable as evidence because it isn't an exact science. It is unreliable and can false-test positive even when no one is connected to it.

Yes, but not in the common sense of a (lie detector) Jefferson"s polygraph was a device for manifold signatures- which would be useful to a politician, predicatbly in the days before typewriters and other officer machines. a device along these lines was out in the Reign of Empress Maria Theresa of Austria. It had the usual baroque fantasy trappings of such devices at the time- the tone arm controlling the pen having engraved angel or cupid figures. This device was called the Schreibsmachine- which is the regular German word for (Typewriter) device was totally unlike modern typerwriters.

I'm not sure they are offered commercially. I have never heard of such a thing. You can purchase your own polygraph machine ranging from about $900 to $15000.
