The difference between regular sand and quicksand is that quicksand is has worn of the granite rock. The granite rock has moisture which is washed out with the sand. wet, regular sand you can mould. wet quicksand you can get stuck in.

Quicksand is a type of sand that traps living or non-living things in it.It is so sticky that you cannot escape from it and because of our weight you start to sink in it,it can also drown you so stay away from it, it is really dangerous.

It is NOT a type of sand, nor is it "sticky". It is ordinary sand mixed with a lot of water. By letting yourself float in it you can gently swim out of it - though I suspect that demands considerable presence of mind.

Real quicksand is a slurry of sand (dirt) in water,
so if all else fails (a rope, a branch, friends) you should be able to swim out.
But some guy got caught in a construction site (yes - they made their own quicksand ... for waste disposal purposes) and it took a score of guys plus water pumps to get him out.
