A pawl and ratchet is used for example in a clock spring winding barrel. A toothed wheel with barbed triangular teeth are cut into the circumference of a metal disc attached to the axle of the spring barrel. This is the ratchet. The pawl is a pivoting teardrop shaped piece of metal mounted on the clock plate adjacent to ratchet. the only way i made the money is to go through the giant clank thing where you turn giant clank on one of the last planets(the one where you are a robot to trick the other ones) i turned into giant clank and did that little mission over and over and over and over....... and over until i got the bolts it does take a long time you get about 2000 bolts each time... i think

Anyway i do know where to get it.

You need the O2 Mask: first, get to the place where you had to run as fast as you could to get the most oxygen where everything flooded up. When you get there, it will be still flooded. Follow the path and when you get to the place where you can go higher on a platform on the left, go the other way (right, and down). Follow the path in a tunnel and when you get out of the water, the Gold Bolt is there. You need the Helipack: go to where there are all of the force field, where you can see the Gold Bolt behind one of them. Go farther where there is the round platform that the steam pushes in the air. Jump on it and once the platform goes up, jump on the closest pillar where the force fields are attached. Make your way to the pillar next to the Gold Bolt and jump off to get it.

Jump, then use your wrench. Next press L1 and move the left stick right or left. Press L1 again and again when you hit the ground.

Finish the game go into challenge mode where you get up 20x normal bolts and it shouldn't take much longer than a hour. If you don't want to go into challenge mode just redo levels over and over again until desired result.

Well I have Ratchet 1,2,3 ( bought separately for PS2) and Ratchet and Clank a Crack in Time. The trilogy is very fun to play, but crack in time's graphics and gameplay are awesome. Either way check YouTube for gameplay.
