Who became famous for fighting in World War 2?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

There wasn't only one hero in world war II, (it wasn't an action movie it was a war) there were many heros on both the axis and the allie powers Gunther Rough was a great pilot for the Germans, Doolittle was also a great pilot for the allies that's just an example of a few heros in WWII (although I would have to say presedent Roosevelt saved us by actually entering the war insted of not promesing he will stay out of the war. If we didnt enter the war at the time we did the Axis powers would have eventualy have conquered Great Brittan and the Soviet Union and would have left practicly just us to face Italy and Germany on the east coast and Japan on the west coast we would of course have had the help of Mexico and Canada and all of the South American countries but we would be in no condition to fight on two fronts)

How old was Rosa Parks when she had to give up her seat?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Answer:

Because she was standing up for her rights. She had paid the same fare as the white passengers and when the driver ordered her out of seat, she did not think this was fair and refused to do so.

It was also a planned event as the previous, spontaneous Claudette Colvin and Mary Louise Smith arrests had political problems for a supreme court trial.

What happened to the bus Rosa Parks rode on?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The bus Rosa Parks rode is now on display at the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit, Michigan.

Rosa Parks rode the Cleveland Avenue bus, as she always did when commuting to and from her job at the Montgomery Fair store.

The Cleveland Avenue bus was part of the Montgomery City Bus Lines, owned by National Bus Lines of Chicago, IL. Employees remembered the coach ID, 2857, was stenciled above the window on the driver's right, and were able to identify the exact bus Parks was riding when arrested. The bus was manufactured by GM in 1948 and remained in service until 1971. It was later salvaged from a field and purchased by the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit.

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The education of Rosa Louise McCauley Parks [February 4, 1913-October 24, 2005] involved a combination of homeschooling, and of public school attendance. Parks was in poor health as a child. So she was homeschooled, on her maternal grandparents' farm outside Montgomery, until she was 11. For her mother, Leona Edwards McCauley, was a teacher. Then Parks took academic and vocational courses at the Industrial School for Girls in Montgomery, Alabama. She went on to attend a special laboratory school that the Alabama State Teachers College for Negroes had set up, for secondary education. But she didn't finish the coursework, due to the failing healths of her grandmother and then of her mother. In 1932, Parks married Montgomery barber Raymond Parks. Her husband encouraged her to go back to school. So she received her high school diploma, in the following year.
