Is Redheugh in Kilbirnie still a Salvation Army adolescent unit?

Redheugh closed as an adolescent unit in1993. The grounds and property were sold to a housing developer.

In response to a recent answer about Redheugh being an adolescent unit. I would like to point out that it was in fact, a children's home. I spent 6 years there with my brother, having been moved from one children's home to another, which seemed the norm for us in the 1960's. I to, remember Major Ruby and his wife, Captain Shackleton (my tireless piano teacher, who eventually gave up on me !) and other good and kindly people, without them, my life may have taken an other turn.

Anyone who was a 'home boy' at Redheugh from 1960 throught to 1967 and would like to make contact, my email address is driftwood008@gmail.com

How do you achieve salvation through Catholicism?

By being baptised and by practicing the positive and unchanging essentials for living a Christian life which are based on humility, prayer, observing God's law and Church regulations and going to mass. Religion alone can't save anyone. Only trusting Christ to forgive you of your sin can save you. If you have a bible, look up Romans 3:10, Romans 6:23, and Romans 10:13. They show that 1) you are a sinner 2) that you need a savior and 3) that if you pray and for forgiveness, and put your faith in Christ to save you, that you can be saved. No religion can save you. Repentance leads to Salvation.
