Without a detailed description of all markings, it is impossible to answer.

Instead of the sn, look for when it was proof tested. The majority of German made SIG models have the symbols located on the underside of the slide just forward of the front of the frame. You will normally find three proof marks. 1. An ornamental crown with an N beneath it indicating proof with smokeless (nitrocellulose) powder. The second looks like a "squished 8-legged 2-pincered bug". This is the proof mark for the Kiel, Germany proofhouse. The third is two letters that tell you when it was proof tested. HK would be 1979, JJ would be 1988, AA would be 2000, etc. SIG-Proofmark letters. A 0

I've seen and heard everything from $550 to $850. This is a great pistol, by the way, and one of the best(IMHO) that SIG has ever come out with.

I paid $300 for exllent Dura-Matic at gun show from dealer 99% condition also paid $50 for an extra original mag. from another dealer at the show July 17 2008 show.

Some folks rather have a 357 revolver then a 9 MM semi auto as a revolver if it misfires you just pull the trigger again If a semi auto misfires you lose the battle as you have to manually reject the ammo and hope the next round fires.

Of all the semi autos I did fire I happen to like the sig 226 9 MM the best

A shr 970 should bring between $400 and $600 depending on it's condition. It can be replaced for under $600. Sometimes, in some geographical areas, rifles chambered for wildcat cartridges bring less. I am in Wyoming and have found it difficult to sell rifles chambered in .25-06. Maybe it is liked as a plains deer or antelope cartridge but some think it is too light for the heavier animals. I have a good friend in Arkansas that sells them about as fast as he gets them. Location, condition, accessories, configuration, ... you left out too many variables to give you an exact answer
