Why aren't you bones flexible?
Bones need to be strong to be the mainframe for the body and protect it they couldn't if they were soft and we wouldn't be able to walk we would be a pile of jelly. Muscles are soft so you are able to move and flex them if they were hard you wouldn't be able to move parts of your body very much

Is the jaw bone the hardest in the body?
Your toung
No, it isn't your tongue. The strongest muscle in the entire body (based on its weight) is the masseter muscle, which is in the jaw. With all of the muscles of the jaw working together, they can close the teeth with a force as great as 55 pounds p.s.i.
Is the manubrium also called the breastbone?
The sternum consists of three portions: the manubrium (the upper segment of the sternum, a flattened, roughly triangular bone), the corpus or body of the sternum, and the xiphoid process (the little tail of the sternum than points down). These three portions of the sternum arise as separate bones and may fuse partially or completely with one another.
Usually it's known as the sternum, but I suppose you could say manubrium as well.
The human body has twelve pairs (so a total of 24) of ribs
How do the discs and vertebrae help your spine?

How much bone tissue is replaced every year?
both of these cells reproduce at different rates. the bone cells, when you're fully grown, can go without dividing for about 20 years, but take around a month to go through mitosis when you're injured or growing. I don't remember about muscle cells, but I know it's less than a year. it would honestly be faster to just look it up on wikipedia or something.
Why is the skull so important to the body?
Because it holds the Brain, and the Brain is vital for human existence. just like pop-tarts :)

Which muscle cells have the greatest ability to regenerate smooth muscles skeletal or cardiac?
Smooth Muscle has the greatest ablility to regenerate.
Bone responds to pressures. A person can look at a skeleton and tell if that person is left or right handed. The skeleton began even but the pressure or influences by using it makes it thicker. It lays down more bone using osteoblasts (bone+Builders). When a bone is broken, the osteoblasts form a bridge which is very thick. When it is mended, the osteoclast (bone+breaker) break down the extra bone to form the original (or close to the original) shape. This double process is also called bone remodeling.
What are fingers and toes for?
Toes came about because they were useful to the early mammals to dig shelter burrows, grip the ground when running (Sort of like a tractor tread), and to have a number of nails to help in the above. Later ... much later, the short mammalian toes grew longer and more flexible as a result of changes, like standing up when walking. Longer toes were very helpful in balancing while erect.
At some point, for a certain small group of mammals that we call primates, it was useful for the toes to have the most inner toe wrap around opposite the other toes so that it was easier to grip a branch, and perhaps swing from tree to tree. This quickly led to longer, more efficient toes. At this point, you could say that this small group of specialized species of mammal had hands all around. As walking and running standing up became the standard way of getting around, these new subhumans had what we call "hands" up top, and feet down below, for walking.
This led to an explosion of new skills for the species because of this ability to grip things with an opposable thumb. It is from these small but extremely useful changes that intelligence grew in leaps and bounds, leading to larger brains, which led to more skills, until today, this changing species can send text on a telephone with just one of those opposable toes, which are now known as fingers.
On the lighter side:
We have fingers and toes to count or we can use a calculator in math class or in science class when we divide or multiply numbers.
