A foul on the white, red, yellow, green or brown awards 4 points to your opponent, a foul on the blue, pink or black awards 5, 6 or 7 points respectively, play then passes to your opponent unless the ref calls a miss then the white is reset and you try again.
If I am understanding your question correctly, you are asking that with a cue in the kitchen after a scratch in eight ball, can you hit an object ball that is also in the kitchen. If this is the question, then the answer is absolutely yes. You must place the cue ball as close to the kitchen line as possible, make sure you hit the long rail outside of the kitchen, and put enough English (side spin) to come back into the kitchen and hit the ball you are trying for. It take practice and quite a bit of English to pull off this shot. Depending on where the object ball is located, you may have to jack up the back of your cue stick for maximum English.

As long as its called as a miss, you can put them in as many times as you like. :)
Currently, 69 official 147's were compiled starting with the first televised 147 in snooker's history made by Steve Davis in 1982 ending with Mark Selby's 147 made in June 2009 at the Jiangsu Classic tournament.
This is difficult to answer. It was the way the game was designed. It copies Billiards and pool.
2 1/6 inches on a full size table. 2" on a 7 to 9 ft table.
In cue sports, the baulk line is the line at the baulk end of the snooker table, upon which the green, yellow, and brown balls are placed.
A snooker in pool can be deliberate (by your opponent) or accidental (by yourself). It is when the a straight line path from the cue ball to the object ball is blocked by another ball which may not be hit.
To put spin or side on a cue ball you strike the ball off-centre. So imagine a point in the centre of the ball which is half way up from the table and directly opposite to the direction you wish the ball to travel. If you strike the ball around this point you will force the ball to spin. So strike below this point to put backspin on the ball, above this point to put top-spin and either side to put side-spin. Obviously you can impart both top and side or bottom and side by striking the ball towards a diagonal. The spin you put on the ball will act to move the ball in the direction of the spin. This is most notable in back-spin where once the forward momentum of the ball is taken by striking another ball the backspin cause the ball to move in th opposite direction of the strike. The amount of spin placed on the ball can take affect as the ball is moving, so enough side-spin can cause the ball to follow a curved path. The effects of the spin can be improved by tilting to follow the type of spin you wish t impart; so hold the butt of the cue higher to get better backspin or hold the butt lower to get better top-spin. Doing this with side spin becomes difficult as you have to adjust the angle of the strike. In its most extreme you can strike downwards towards the side of the ball to cause it to curve - this takes a lot of practice and you have to be careful you do not damage the table. However I find the most important part of putting spin on the ball is ensuring that you follow through the stroke with your cue and make the stroke smooth and decisive. If you snatch at the cue you will either hit the ball in the wrong place or scoop the ball causing it to jump. I hope you have found this helpful.
It can be any ball colour since the game ends when the difference in points is too big to overcome for the other player. That player will then give up. In the majority of games the decision will only be clear at the end and therefore it will often be either the pink or the black ball that will be potted last.
The last part of the snooker game consists of potting the non-red colored balls in order of their value: yellow (2), green (3), brown (4), blue (5), pink (6) and black (7).
The game is formally over (a) when the final pink is potted and the difference in points between the two players is more than 7 points. In this case the black does not need to be potted and if an attempt to pot it is made and the pot was not in, the game ends formally with the black still on the table, or (b) when the final black ball is potted and the two players do not have the same score (if they do, the black ball will be re-spotted)
[Snooker is a one-to-one game.]
Snooker players in a game, players who play snooker in a certain country or around the world?
Snooker is generally a game for two individuals, although pairs matches are not uncommon, particular in league or other competitions.
As for the number of players who play the game, it is an unknown quantity: probably 1000-1500 who play in NGB tournaments of the various UK associations, and probably several tens of thousands including all the casual players around the UK.
John Higgins is the current World Snooker champion in May 2011. February 2012 it is John Higgins.
The standard number in a set of snooker balls is 21 - 15 reds and six colours. In 'toy' snooker tables, the reds are usually reduced to 10.
As the game would finish level, the black would be re-spotted and the person to pot it first wins.
A free ball in snooker is a ball that is elected by the incoming player to take the place of a ball that is legal to shoot, or "on".
The reason for this election is that the opponent fouled, and left the incoming player "snookered" on every ball on.
The free ball can be any ball on the table, and will be scored with the value of the ball it replaces. Any colored ball pocketed as a free ball will be respotted as usual.

The minimum number of strokes required to make a 147 break in a snooker is 15 reds, 15 blacks, 1 yellow, 1 brown, 1 green, 1 blue, 1 pink, and 1 black. So, in theory, 36 shots are needed. However, if you include the initial break-off shot, which nothing would be potted, then the total shots by both players would be 37.
Thank would very much depend on the condition, size and the location of your pool table. 1. Condition Well if it's missing more than a leg and every ball you've got is rolling down in a particular direction, it will typically raise several question that begins with "why... is this broken?" 2. Size Assuming you've gotten yourself a pool table that does not cost anything close to a standard pool table we'd find in pubs, virutally endless number of questions can arise out of it, beginning with "wtf is this is a pool table" to "how am I going to hit a ball at this size". 3. Location Rather than looking at a pool table's size and condition, most people would have question about its location more than anything else. Anything from "but isn't this is swimming pool...?" to "How to..... play.... can't breathe.... no oxygen..?" So all in all, since even an ordinary pool table in perfect condition, size and location can have a question: "why isn't anyone playing on it...?", I'd say the answer to your question is: from 1 to infinity. If you hit 14 reds and 14 yellows your score would be 42. There is now only 1 red left and hence there is 35 left on the table and thus a winning score. In theory though, the opponent can carry on playing hoping to get a snooker. So the lowest score in which it is impossible to do this would be 15 reds potted with no color plus the colors up to the pink which is 21 and thus 36 is the very lowest possible score to win without the opponent being able to win in any circumstance.
So he doesn't get their finger prints on the snooker balls when he replaces them, this is so they don't get sweaty or greasy hands on the ball. Also so they can clean them when they are asked to.
