If you have pain in your arm, you should see your health care provider for an exam. Pain at the site of the implant deserves a checkup.
Itching usually means that the tissue inside your arm is still healing. I had mine injected 3 weeks ago and it still itches. Unless the injection site looks infected there shouldn't a problem. Go back to the doctors if it still itches 3 months in, and get it checked out.
1. Conception usually occurs about 5-7 days after intercourse
2. Your most fertile period is about 5 days before ovulation
3. For most(but not all) women ovulation occurs about 14 days prior to her period.
Your question is a common question, after I had my birth controll planted the (IUD) I did not get my period for three months now I get it every month with light spotting the reason you may not get your period is that the IUD puts out slow release hormone to thin the viginal lining so a fertalized egg can not inplant it self, two years is verry uncommon yes but the best thing you can do for your self is to check with your doctor or even go to a porfessional OB/GYN. Also having the IUD you should check your self every month to feel the stings( DO NOT PULL IT OUT YOURSELF!) doing so could rip your cirvix! Have your doc do it. Your IUD should be checked every six months with a Pap at least once a year.
I had the implant fitted and i drank alcohol it made me go dizzy and feel really sick and before it i was brilliant at handling my drink so i thought it was linked with it but that is just my experience hope this helped
i dont no i have the impant and thinkin of becoming pregannt soon?
It is possble but as most doctor will sy its about 1 in 1000, so still becareful as it does happen
There are no known drug interactions be2ween flucloxacillin and the contraceptive implant.
You might want to ask other women that have had the procedure. The Mirena coil is a small plastic T-shaped device that is placed inside the intrauterine area in females to treat them for endometriosis.
It can bend because it's made from a flexible plastic. It needs to so as not to restrict movement in your arm. Don't worry though it won't snap inside your arm as it is held inplace by tissue. I'm sure it would break had you same MAJOR trauma to that particular par of your arm. Chances are slim
Having a period for 3 weeks is never normal (particularly heavy). Please make an appointment to see your gynecologist.
It is extremely rare to get pregnant on the contraceptive implant. It is one of the most effective methods of reversible contraception. If you are on the implant and bleeding, it is very unlikely that you're pregnant.
Since at this time the rods have likely released all hormone, if it's been more than five years since the rods were implanted, it makes sense to use alternative birth control if you wish to avoid pregnancy.
it is possible to pregnant with the IUD take a urine test
Implanon is still effective even if it is bent.
There is a very very low risk and there has only been a few cases where women with the implant have became pregnant .
Implanon is concidered highly effective, less than 1 out of 100 woman using Implanon will get pregnant each year. Using a condom along with the implant make the risk of pregnancy even less and reduces the spread of STDs.
Implants and injections are very effective methods of contraception and are proven to be 99% percent reliable in preventing pregnancy.
yes...................
This is one of the safest method of contraception. But no method is 100 % effective. Very rarely, this method fails and you can get the pregnancy. You are advised to go for pregnancy test at the home only. Say every two weeks, when you do not have the menses.
I've read it can take a year for your menstrual cycle to return to normal after removing Implanon. It also varies for different women considering age and hormones. I had mine removed on January 27, 2012 (a little over a month). I spotted a week before removing it, I don't know if you'll consider that as a normal cycle. Two weeks after removing it, I spotted once and noticed a brown mucous discharge for two days but only after wiping. We are wanting a 2nd baby but not stressing too much about it. I'm thinking if we want another baby, it has to happen before I'm 33; I'm 31 now. Im anxious to know if I'm pregnant during the first month because I drink a few beers on weekends and I take digital x-rays and work with nitrous oxide. I've taken about 4 pregnancy tests- all negative. I turned the answer to this question into a blog but I figured it'll be useful to some of you. Thanks or reading and Good Luck to you if you're trying conceive.
Yes you can have it. Usually it's very irregular, sometimes it's light spotting or heavy flow.
About the worst part is never knowing when you're going to get it. It just kind of happens.
it varies between different women.
i myself only had irregular bleeding for the first month and a half and since then i havent had a single period.
but my friends also got theirs put in at the same time, and they got it done because they didnt want a menstrual cycle anymore, but it didnt work for them. it just worked as a contrception for them.
ask your doctor about it
Implanon is a birth control implant. It's a small rod about the size of a match stick that is inserted in the arm and last for 2-3 years. Some potential side effects are nausea, bloating, dizziness, headache, and pain and redness around the implant site.
There are many benefits to having a contraceptive implant. You do not have to worry if you've forgotten to take the pill, it lasts for months or even years, and it's discreet.
Nexplanon is the name of the contraceptive implant sold in the US as of 2012.
Local anesthesia is used for removal of the contraceptive implant, just as it was with the insertion. Patients may have some soreness, but it is usually short-lived.
I had been on Yasmin (Yaz is the generic) for almost 4 years when I started taking 16mg Suboxone daily. Got violently sick every single day as if on schedule. Tried everything, changing when and how I take both meds, nothing worked. Gyno switched me to Yaz, then Loestrin, then Tri-Sprintec, and got nauseous and vomited badly every single day. Now I'm only down to 12mg suboxone and have been off of all birth control because obviously need the suboxone much more. I just took my 1st dose of Tri-Sprintec (thought I'd try again, as I have extremely heavy and painful periods of course, on top of everything else) and am hoping to handle it better? THERE IS NO DOCUMENTED LITERATURE/FINDINGS ON THE INTERACTIONS BETWEEN THESE TWO MEDICATIONS! I've told both doctors, both seemed uninterested. This is a huge problem, and with my own background have assumed it was the bupe in the suboxone causing the problem. I'd be very curious to see if someone on subutex would have the same reaction (guarantee they won't).
the surgeon makes an incision behind the ear and opens the mastoid bone (the ridge on the skull behind the ear) leading into the middle ear. The surgeon then places the receiver-stimulator in the bone, and gently threads the electrodes into the cochlea.
i wish someone would answer this question too. Don't worry you aren't alone on this one. I have only had one shot so far and i get my second one this afternoon. My first period was for 13 days, then the second month it was lighter than i have ever seen it and it was on and off for 5-7 days. finally month three and i haven't gotten it yet at all. I'm scared about how my body is reacting to the shot but since i get it from a nurse idk if i should ask her these questions or wait another month to see my doctor. if this question doesn't have an answer by then i will let you know what my doctor says!
Best of luck
