What date the w2 come out?

The deadline to receive your w2 in the US is approximately 14 days after Jan. 31 (or around Feb. 14th). Companies have to have their w2 postmarked by that date not the date you receive them. If after the allowance give above and you have not received your w2, contact the payroll dept. of your company. Some companies are now issusing w'2 over the internet via their company websites (which are secure).

Does Copy 1 for State Tax Department go to the recipient with Copy B of the 1099 MISC form?

No, Copy 1 goes to the State in which your company works... However, some states don't require you to send 1099's to them. Copy B and Copy 2 go to the recipient. It is up to the recipient to file Copy 2 with their own state tax return (when required). Copy C is what you keep for your records, so basically you can just photocopy one of the other forms so you don't have to purchase Copy C. And Copy A goes to the IRS.

To summarize:

Copy A + 1096 Transmittal Form = IRS

Copy B + Copy 2 = recipient/independent contractor/individual

Copy 1 = State Tax Department (when required)

Copy C = keep for your records (payer)

Hope this helps!

Where do you send w2 copy 1 for ok state tax department?

It should state on the bottom of the copy which copy goes to the state, the federal, and which one is for your records.

== ans ==

First it makes no difference which copy of the W-2 you use or send to any jurisdiction. They are all identical and it is only a courtesy when they are provided on a multi-copy form. That is unnecessary and becoming even less common as the forms are provided on line more and more.

Addresses are not on W-2 as where the recipient needs to send it depends on lost of things absolutely individual to the recipient that the provider may not even know. (For example, the tax return it accompanies may or may not have an additional payment due, or a refund coming, and many places have different addresses for each of those filings).

The information where to send your specific return is normally available on the form you are sending, or always on the instructions for that form. Again, whether you are filing a paper return or electronically filing may determine where the W-2 or 1099 is to be sent.

When do you receive your w2 form from Ashley furniture when your not working there anymore?

You don't. I worked there for 3 months in the beginning of last year. I waited until the second week in February and still no W-2. So I went to Ashley to ask for a copy of my W-2 since I had not recieved one, the receptionist told me that all she has to do is print it out. So I said great, then she said she is only allowed to print it out on Fridays. So I had to fill out a paper and wait for her to call me. Two weeks went by and I still havent heard from them. I have even called multiple times, but just get put on hold as the "next caller in line" for over an hour. Ashley Furniture should be shut down by the Federal Business Bureau. (For many reasons, including putting master locks on the bathroom doors and locking them to "increase production".)

When do Ashley furniture send out 2010 w2 forms?

I am a tax preparer in Pontotoc, MS.

Business have until JANUARY 31st to actually put their W2s in the mailbox to send out. Ashley Furniture W2s will be mailed out from Wisconsin, so they should be received by Feb 5th. That is just an estimated time, but IRS requires the forms be mailed out NO Later than JAN 31. Hope this helps

Can you file for income tax using financial aid as an income?

No you cannot due to the fact of it being tax free because its from taxes and financial aid is not a earned income its a gift.

The above is hogwash.

There are many types of financial aid. I am unaware of any that are considered a gift, although that in itself would make little difference as gifts are normally taxable. ALL INCOME IS TAXABLE, not just earned income.

Depending on the type of financial aid, the one giving it can provide details on how they will report it, and combinned with your other taxation factors 9marital status, dependents, other income, etc), will determine if it is taxable and if you actually pay tax on it.
